I had a gift certificate to use here. My experience was just okay but for $47 plus tip I would expect much better service. The tech just seemed like she wanted to rush through it all. (I had a “spa pedicure” and basic manicure.) I rarely go to nail salons but I know the paint should look better than it does. I could do a better job myself. the one star is simply because there isn’t an option for a lower rating. ive returned to this nail salon numerous times for the convenience and bc they offer a lot of gel polishes. so heres the deal. the prices are inconsistent, the services are inconsistent, and the professionalism is non-existent. ive had to go back for nail fixes & have been told that i need to let whomever does my nails know that the acryclic should be thick on long nails.. something i’d assume they already know. the following day (crack) another nail breaks. i had to go back 3 times after i had just got my nails done! & of course had to pay each time. i wanted to like this nail shop (although, my nails always break).. but the last visit was horrific. i was charged extra for the length of my nails (which i previously was not) and my nails arent even the same length nor are they the length i preferred. i asked the nail tech why was i being charged extra when i usually get my nails longer and he had no explanation. i kept my composure, and said it would be fine. now mind you, i have had this happen before with nail fixes( being charged different prices )... but i was over it. the ladies that sat next to me was offered water and wine.. i was not. i’d hate to say it was the color of my skin, but that’s the impression i got. my nails were colored as if at 3 year old did it. the person that fixed my nails the previous time was hovering over me and the current nail tech, which was very uncomfortable. i always tip nice.. i just find it weird to ask for your nails a specific way ( i mean afterAll im spending my money!! & tipping you ) but youre not only rude but you still dont do whats expected. i had to go the same day to another nail salon to fix my nails. i will neverrrrr go back. I freaking love Jimmy!! He is hands down the best nail tech in Hoover. He is an SNS god. I have been everywhere. No one comes close to Jimmys skills and details to perfection. My SNS last about 5 weeks. No cracks, no discoloration, no lumps, just perfection. I have been going to Jimmy for about 8 months now and I refuse to go anywhere else. He also has the best price. Came for mother daughter pedicures. We chose the Spa pedis which were to last 35 mins. We were done in 16 mins, the length of the chair massage. Nina performed my mani pedi and she was very rude! Do not recommend! Not worth the $$$. Read Less

No, no, and no. I received a shabby manicure then ent shopping. I realized my cuticles were still dry and did not look clean and finished off at all. I went back by there. These people stood there and looked like they were perplexed as to why I was back. I told them the manicure was totally unacceptable. A woman who has been there a long time came over and clipped some around the cuticles on 3 to 4 fingers. No smile. No apology. Crickets. I will never go back to sapphire. Super rude. Read Less

I been going to them a month now and every time I go I get someone worse then the last. Everyone charge different prices for fill ins. They over charge people. Please don't go here they need better nail techs. I have to find  some where else to spend my money. Read Less

This place is nice. It is just a little too expensive for what it is. They also offered everyone around me a water or wine. I look young, but I am well over the age of 21. Even if I look younger I would've appreciated a bottle of water at the very least. Read Less

My Mom and I have been coming here to have pedicures done by Kim and Trudy for about 3 years. We could not imagine going anywhere else. Our monthly visit gives us a chance to relax and catch up on what is going on with each other and leave with awesome looking toes! We are blessed to call them friends now. Honestly, my original experience at Sapphire was amazing so I went back to get a fill in. Feeling that I could trust Sapphire because of a client recommendation, my previous experience and a stressful day I slept as the tech completed my gel fill, which I has been my service of choice for 10+ years, regardless of where I visit. I returned within 2 days because of a broken nail which wasn't a big deal to me at all. The nail tech began the repair process and I noticed the powder was acrylic and was informed by him that previously an acrylic fill was completed on my nails although I paid for a gel. At that point I stated well then it needs to be fixed because that wasn't what I requested or paid for. I was then told I would have to pay for his mistake and not only that but that I needed to show proof of what I paid which I refused because that's poor customer service considering I requested a gel fill. Another tech then told me I would have to pay for a repair after recently being over charged for acrylic and being serviced 2 days prior. I just wanted to make other customers aware of the poor customer service and lack of knowledge of services by a tech. Read Less

I will never return to Sapphire Nails. The staff is extremely rude and always in a rush to finish my nails. Today, my friend and I walked into a nearly empty salon. There were only two people in manicure chairs, yet me and my friend were sat on opposite sides of the room. When I asked politely to be sat together, the woman, I believe her name is Kim, replied that it is too difficult to move their equipment. After me and my friend were finished, we walked outside to notice that her nails looked awful. There were scratches on them from where she filed them too early. She was obviously in a hurry and my nail tech was also hurrying and did not say a single word to me. I will definitely go to the nail spa across the street next time. Read Less

Came here because my other nail place across the street was too busy to take me. The older male nail technician (not sure of his name), even though he did a good job in the end on my polish, he was abrupt and when I asked about a piece of polish that was sticking up, he interrupted me and said it would be fine. (thankfully he did fix it) When filing my nails, he filed the skin more than my actual nail! So now I have a couple raw red areas of skin around the nail that are sore. She is a fast, efficient and meticulous esthetician and the few times we have had to go elsewhere were lacking sorely in comparison. She and her staff are delightful and accommodating . I am 6 days into the manicure by Samantha and my nails still look awesome. In the past I haven't had good results at other salons, with chips & scratches in my nails almost immediately. Not only was the in studio experience great at Fleur de Lys, but the longevity of the manicure and the complements I have had make it worth the investment of time and money. I will be back! Read Less
