The work is OKAY for the prices. I asked for square nails and a couple of mine are rounded on one side but not the other? Two of my nails are crooked, and I asked for the $35 full set French and she gave me the $40. The place is beautiful and they have tons to offer as far as services go, but if I’m going to spend $100 on my nails, I expect the work to be damn near perfect. I will NEVER come to this salon for any reason! I made an appointment 3 hours in advance to come in for a acrylic nail removal and asked what method was used for removal and I was told the nails would be lifted from the edges and clipped off, I let the manager on the phone know that I had tried this myself the night before and it was very painful and asked if they could be soaked instead and he said YES, I then asked what the price would be and he said $10!!! When I arrived f...or my appointment they seemed very annoyed that I didn't want new nails put on and I was just there for removal, they sat me down and tried to immediately lift the edges by slicing an acrylic tip under the edge of the nail from the manicure box that contains different sizes, I told the nail tech that it was very painful and that I wanted to soak them because that's what I stated when I made an appointment, she handed me a stack of those nail tips and tried to send me out the door to just try to remove them myself!!! I said "uuuh am I not able to get these soaked off? She told me "no we don't have time for that, we have other customers that want actual nails" so that told me I wasn't a priority to them because I wasn't spending a ton of money there, I AGAIN told the nail tech that I wanted them soaked off and she again tried to fight me on it because it "would take too much of her time and she needed to help other customers" I reminded her that I made an appointment for this service and that I am a paying customer and that I just want these nails removed, she started the process and soaking to loosen the top layer and then file and then soak to loosen another layer and file so on and so forth until they were gone, however once she found out I did not get those nails done at MS salon the manager got angry and told her to charge me extra because "it wasn't their problem" oh and not to mention the fact the nail tech was EXTREMELY rough and cut up every single one of my cuticles with the file and made them all bleed and then accused me of causing the bleeding because I started to file my own nail when she ran to the back of the salon after her cell phone rang and just left me out there bleeding!!! The cuts were so bad that by the time I left the salon they were swollen, yellow, pussing and bleeding!!! I can actually pull one cut open on my right thumb and see my meat under the cuticle!!! I have never been so angry and displeased with a service in my entire life!! I can't believe I left a tip let alone pay at all, I had to go to the store immediately after to buy and antiseptic balm for the cuts because they looked infected!! I used this location on 02/24/18. I've used it before and have been so disappointed each time. They messed up my nails on the 24th, almost every single nail had dirt and fuzz under the gel. My toes had multiple toenails where the nail polish wasn't even. I called that day and told them what happened. I spent $80 on a gel manicure, and a pedicure and just wanted it to be right. I was told to come back the next day to get them fixed. I came back the next day and instead of fixing the polish another lady put more polish on my nails. By then I had 4 coats of polish on my nails. Today is the March 2nd and all but 2 nails have peeled off in sheets due to the how many layers were on my nails. 1st time customer I came in for a pedicure and manicure and that was a great experience I love how you keep the place so clean. However I decided to get my brows wax while I was there and I really wish I had not its the 4th day they're broke out, red, and still itchy. I've never had that happen from getting my brows waxed. It was ok. I went with my niece. Showed them 2 designs, which they couldn't do. (1 was a marble look. Done with a small piece of plastic wrap) They said they didn't have plastic wrap. Ok. So I pick another easy design (found on Pinterest as well) They couldn't do that either because they didn't have teal glitter gel polish. So I settled for 2 basic colors they did actually have. I'm not sure if they're just hard up for cash these days or what it is; I've been coming here for OVER A YEAR- REGULARLY!! With my 4 year old, nonetheless- I get a full set or fill and she gets her nails painted (plus pedicures every now and then.) Today they decided to add $5 to shape my nails (Almond/Stilleto which is what I always get.) I'm paying the same price I usually pay for a shellac full-set for almond shaped nails and NO POLISH! And on top of that they charged me $14 to paint my daughter's nails!!! She's 4! They didn't even put her feet in water or do anything they usually do. I'm kind of offended that they don't see their wrong doing, nor seem to care about making it right. I will no longer support them and I'll be sure all my friends know! Read Less

Terrible. Took almost 2 hours for a pedicure.  So long that I had to leave without a mani. So, like an idiot, I gave them another chance today.  Waited over 30 minutes, and then the girl DIDNT DO THE MANI!!!!!  Just the SNS polish. Miley takes care of everyone that enters her doors. Love talking to my buddy, ( her husband) he will keep u laughing. As a new Birmingham resident, it is a bit trying and stressful to find new services for your regular and normal activities or needs.  I checked Yelp for ratings for nail salons near where I live, and I found Riviera Nails & Spa as the # 2 on the list and only a few miles from where I live.  I have really bad feet (40+ years as a nurse!) with multiple ankle surgeries which have caused numerous and unsightly callouses if not taken care of properly  and I really don't like doing it myself!  I knew this salon was fairly new (one year), but I wasn't prepared for how pretty and functional a salon / spa it is!  The staff is very cordial, polite, and helpful.  They hand you a bottle of water when you sit in a marvelous massage chair!  The front part of the salon is primarily reception and manicures.  THe back is totally separate, but WOW, when you walk back, there are 14 massage chairs for adults and 3 totally precious SMALL chairs for little girls ( or boys I guess).  The staff was quite considerate and very professional.  I explained what I needed and wanted, and he took care of everything!  I've only had one other pedicure by a guy, but David was superb!  Most important:  everything is VERY CLEAN!  I was impressed with the bowl liners and the fact they bring out what appeared to be 'sterilized' tools for me.  They also use very small buffers that are individual and not reused.  Very nice touch!  I'll definitely be back.  OH, and the pricing was a bit better than I expected and you have many choices for pedicures from $30 - $70 for extra special treatment. Nail salons are supposed to be relaxing and Riviera was just that for me. I tend to frequent salons during the work week either on break or after work so I can enjoy the experience. It's a real treat when I don't feel up to doing my own nails and when my pockets can afford the luxury. My pedicure was pleasant. The water could've been a touch warmer, but the attention to detail was spot on. Riviera is not my usual salon, but I've heard good things and decided to give it a try. This is my absolute favorite nail salon! Everyone here is very happy and polite, and I am always pleased with the way my nails turn out. I get UV gel and it lasts AT LEAST 3 weeks with out chipping (and I am usually pretty rough on manicures). I give this place 1 star because that's the minimum. I went in today last minute as I got off of work an hour earlier and I decided to go to the nail salon right by my place vs driving all the way to Beaverton. I walk in and say I just need a wax and 3 of the ladies were just sitting there and turned me away saying they were TOO busy and to come back in an hour. They had a total of 3 customers. I'm on vacation and I needed my nails done. I found this place on Yelp. I liked the reviews, but I was a little discouraged because I see that they just opened. I finally decided to give them a try. When I first walked in everyone greeted me, they offered myself and my boyfriend some water. The  customer service was off the charts. He man who did my nails I didn't catch his name but he did a awesome job. For a start up nail spa they it was awesome! I will return here in he future when on vacation again. Love this place! We came in for Mani and pedi for 3 last minute for my wedding and they were not only happy to get us in, but also did amazing and really took their time. My 7 y old daughter and I recently went for pedi's and had a wonderful time. It is $25 for peicure with parafin, but for kiddos they also get flowers on their toes and polished fingernail's as well! I was looking forward to giving this salon a try given the great reviews. The facilities: top notch. Brand new. Doesn't have the typical "nail salon" smell. Service: gets a zero. Granted, I didn't have an appointment, but when I walked in, I was told it would only be a few minutes to be attended to. 45 minutes of waiting later, I walked out with only a "sorry" from the technician. I wasn't even offered water while I waited. What a disappointment! Let me clarify: I hate giving 1 star. But this was awful customer service. Maybe with time they'll get the kinks worked out. Hot new nail salon near my house... This place just opened at the end of June and is already packing in quite a crowd.  I stopped in on Monday afternoon and I got right in but the ladies who arrived after me waited 30 or so minutes for a service.  I know its new, but the interior is clean, nicely decorated, the layout is good, tools and pedi basins all seem very sanitized, and the employees are all super nice and don't really gab with one another (which I totally appreciate).  The prices are all comparable to everything else in the area (ie, basic mani/pedi - $50).  They are offering 25% off right now for their grand opening..unsure when that will end though.Reception desk right when you walk in, a wall of polish to your right (OPI, Essie, Orly, etc...); so many colors to choice from there is no reason why you wouldn't find your favorite here. They had all the new OPI colors, plus some oldies (Thrill of Brazil - my absolute fav!).  The manicure stations are also in the front area.  Clean areas that include built in fans for drying in between coats or just staying cool - genius!   Pedicure chairs are behind the wall - super comfy and oversized. Upon being seated I was given a bottle of water and asked if I wanted any wine.  So far great customer service.  I received a classic manicure and a candle wax pedicure.   I requested the mani first so it has more time dry which they happily did.   The mani was good - brisk but certainly not rushed.  Sometimes I find that it can take an hour or more to get a good mani, but I think I was done in under 45 minutes.  Was perfect.  I moved onto the pedi chair and had a great experience there too.  The tech took his time, gave a great leg/foot massage and had a friendly personality.   I would likely not opt for the candle wax pedi next time as I didn't think it was anything special.... basically they light a candle and pour the wax over your legs/feet. I was expecting a paraffin feel but the candle wax wasn't really warm.  Other than that portion of the service, everything was great.  I think I found my new favorite nail salon!  Welcome to the neighborhood Riviera! I decided to give this nail salon a try, since it just opened on 6/28/2015 and my normal nail salon wasn't open this week. I am so glad that I called for an appointment!!I was greeted by a smiling young woman who had me sign in and pick my toenail color, and I was immediately taken to the back for my pedicure. The place was beautifully decorated, there were 12 pedicure stations for adults, and they even had three stations designed for younger kids. I was offered water and a glass of wine. Dali did my pedicure, and she did an excellent job! She brought sanitized tools to my station, was gentle with my feet, and we even had a nice conversation while she worked.
