I went here for my birthday last week and - after reading the reviews - chose to have one of the girls work on my manicure & lip wax. She wasn't proficient (she was way too hasty & didn't get all my cuticles). The clear coat was cheap, I'm supposing because the polish wasn't smooth afterwards. One of my nails actually broke as soon as I got home, so I added my own clear coat. But regarding the salon, and the lip wax, I knew she wasn't getting all the hair because, well, I barely felt anything. Not only that, but she works in the dark without a magnifying mirror or anything. So when I got home, I just plucked. And there was a lot. Overall, I felt like it was a waste of money, but I liked the fact that they were polite and the chemical smell didn't knock me down as it does in a lot of small town nail salons. Anyway, this would be 3 stars, but I went back today to get the polish removed and replaced with some of my own polish (better for maintaining chips at home). This time, I saw one of the guys (not the one with glasses) and he saw the broken nail (it's seriously at an awkward diagonal angle), and he saw my grown up cuticles that weren't repaired last time, and he proceeded to put the new polish on. Seriously. I said, "This nail is totally broken and crooked." So he started filing the broken side of the nail - which makes no sense. He just left it crooked. Did he think I was making a fashion statement? He didn't attempt to repair anything, he kept just trying to put on the new polish, so I just stopped him and said I'd do them at home. It was so awkward. I've never had to just leave a place like that in my whole life. I shouldn't have gone back. So the other reviews are totally accurate. The girls are better than the guys, but honestly not by much. I don't think there's any quality nail salon in Clanton Go out of town if you want your money's worth. It'll cost the same - or less - and be so much better. I lived in Los Angeles (I'm from Alabama) for 4 years and their salons charge $10 for a regular manicure. I don't get why it would cost the same here if the quality is well below average. Read Less
