I have to say I am super picky about my nail shape and have had the hardest time finding someone who could dazzle me. I had been meaning to finally get my nails done here after hearing such great reviews from my co-workers and seeing their amazing yelp reviews. The only mistake I made was waiting so long to try them out. I saw Randy today and not only did he take the time to understand what I wanted he went above and beyond to completely revamp my nail style. I seriously don't think my nails have ever looked this good and I am now his client for life. The fact that they have online booking which makes it super easy schedule, a super cute salon space and a fun group of nail techs. I don't think you could go wrong with any tech in the salon. I've been going to Nail Tips for almost 10 years. Kim and all the awesome people who work there do such a great job! The new set up is beautiful and so clean! Go in with some grace and patience. They're very aware you've walked in, and will get to you as soon as they can. It's like getting your hair cut or colored, you know it's going to take longer than 30 minutes... just enjoy the time you have for someone to pamper you! I was given a gift certificate from a co-worker to go here, and it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. It was a Birthday gift and I made an appt and got my nails done, my boyfriend ended up proposing to me shortly after so I am glad I went in and had them done! I spent $70 not including my $20 gift certificate, so $90 to get my nails done. 3 days later the top coat began peeling off and one nail chipped, I called and made an appt to come in and have them fixed... for free since it was within a week of having them done. Mai did my nails originally, when I went in to have them fixed they made the appt w/ Randy, it was obvious that he didn't want to help me when I got there and all he did was put new top coat over the nails (you could still see the line underneath where the previous topcoat had peeled away), then he simply smoothed out the chipped nail and said that no one would notice that it was shorter. I told him I was fine w/ it shorter as long as they were all the same, he begrudgingly filed away all the nails on THAT HAND ONLY, so I was left w/ 1 hand that had longer square nails and 1 hand w/ short round nails. I left the salon crying. I got engaged to the man of my dreams and felt like I couldn't show anyone my hand to show off my ring because my nails look like a train wreck. I regained my composure and called back to speak w/ a manager only to find out that Randy was the owner and he was the one I had to speak w/. After explaining how I felt and sadly crying over the phone he told me that he would schedule me w/ mai to come in and have them fixed and that they would give me a refund. I went to my 2nd nail fix appt (3rd appt overall in a damn week) where mai shaped my nails so that they would all look the same, and filed off the layers of topcoat, to do new topcoat, when I went up front Mai told me that I wouldn't be getting a complete refund only a $25 refund for the "Chrome" topcoat that kept peeling off, she was devout that I could only get the refund as a gift certificate, not only did I have to request that I not get a gift certificate but get the money put back on my card but so did the front desk girl working there. SPA NIGHT!! We had a private spa night for my daughter and her bridal party for her wedding on 5-27-17. It was a wonderful experience, the staff was warm and inviting and made everything perfect. They made everyone feel comfortable and special. Everyone was over the moon with their services, they are always this way regardless if you are just a walk in. This is the best nail place I have ever been to and I was on the nail circuit when my mom was living😊. She loved getting her nails done (as we all do). I am pretty much convinced that there isn't a good nail salon in Birmingham. When you have competition on every corner, wouldn't it make since for there to be one that stands out? Or maybe it's like cable - they are all bad and you have to deal with it. Hi there so I was in today and my guy I had was Randy . I must say he is super nice but today I called made an apt for noon I get there a little late but called ahead and told them I would be then I get there and my guy isn't there. My friends who didn't have an apt who were walk in who came in the same time as me got seen first which I wasn't to happy with. So I wait for a hour and 30mins until my guy showed up then we did my nails which is sadly just a horrible job.. he cut... me twice really bad and my nails look so funny and bad that I am sad to show my hands ... I'm also not too happy that I was charged 65 dollars when I think I should have paid 35-40 if that for my nails due to the fact that he was so late and the walk in were seen before me ... I paid in cash and gave him a 8 dollar tip Bc he came in on his day off BUT I AM PISSED about my hand s ... my ring finger hurts from his cutting me with the electric sander and the shape is so odd .... I was able to leave work a little bit early today so I decided to get my nails done before I picked my son up from daycare. I normally get my manicures elsewhere but Bridgeport is close to my home so I decided to try them. I arrived at 2:30 and the receptionist made me an appointment for 3:15. When I came back it took me 5 minutes to find a parking spot in the tiny parking lot. Then I waited patiently for 45 minutes before leaving. The receptionist was very polite, professional and apologetic, but I'm not happy because I just wasted my "me" time waiting for a manicure that didn't happen. I definitely won't be back. Read Less

I now have been sitting for more than half an hour soaking my feet.  First in water that was scalding and now in the same water that is barely tepid.  I'm actually getting chilled because my feet are cold.A sign indicates that there are complimentary beverages but nothing has been offered.My pedicure started 45 minutes after I walked in.  I wasn't warned that there would be a long wait.Once the pedicure started I was pleased.  The man seemed not speak much English and communication mainly was hand gestures and nods.  But it worked.Other than the uncomfortable delay in getting started I found things okay. I have been getting my nails done off and on for many years. This was my first time in Nail Tip and all I can say is that they were the prettiest nails I've ever had done. He took his time and they (acrylic) have lasted almost three weeks. There is no separation from the nails and he didn't cause any nail bed burning either. I will be going back!
