I'm a bit of a nail salon snob, yes I can admit these things. I want a lot of attention, immaculately clean equipment, a beverage, massage chairs that work, and flip flops that I can take with me. English speaking pedicurist optional. Music preferred over blaring TV. Nail City has three options for pedicure: Regular, Mandarin Honey, and Deluxe priced at $24, $30, $35 respectively. I opted for Mandarin Honey because of the leg massage and a regular manicure for $12. They have four pedicure chairs each separated by a thin curtain for privacy. Nice touch! Each chair has a sign to let patrons know the foot bath was clean and sanitized. Another layer of customer service! Plus, I walked in with a skirt on, she was kind enough to provide me a towel for modesty purposes. Again, great service. Oh and an air purifier was running which ensured no acrylic smells hung in the air.The foot bath was waiting for me post ladies room visit. Nice and hot. No scent that I could detect but that isn't a deal breaker. Pedicurist set the massage chair to do dome crazy hydraulic massage of my back, upper thighs and glutes. Very odd but I'm not complaining. Though I didn't share conversation with my tech, she did a great job conversing with a life insurance agent through Language Line in Vietnenese about her green card and all the other questions necessary to obtain insurance. All if this happened over the phone while working on my feet. Must have been "important"? I suspect if she wasn't pre-occupied I would have received 100% attention. Phone call lasted 50 minutes. The manicure stations are dated, seats are old and visibly worn and I question the sanitizing methods of the tools used for the manicure. They were pulled from the drawer, not from a sanitized sleeve and when finished they were rinsed off at the sink and then dried. I asked for my nails to be buffed shined because I don't use color. Didn't happen. I'm glad I came in because my nails were atrocious, but it wasn't the experience I had hoped for...a true pampering which requires full attention which didn't happen. Read Less
