If you have any expectations of some sort of customer service if your appointment doesn’t go to plan...you won’t get any from the female owner of this establishment! I had been going to this salon for around 12 months and went in this evening for a full set of pink and white acrylics which normally takes around an hour. After sitting for 90 minutes, I questioned why my acrylics would not set and were very soft. The owner threw a tantrum in front of her staff and admitted she had used the wrong liquid for the powder and she would need to start again. This is after telling me initially she had simply done my nails too quickly. She took off the brand new set and put on another set, which left my fingers incredibly sore. Finally, after 2 hours and 30 minutes, she was finished. When it came to paying, she said the price was £35.00 (which is normally what I would pay). I asked if she could offer some sort of discount since it had been her error that I had needed two new sets of nails and had been in the salon for 2.5 hours. The owner simply said it wasn’t her fault she had made a mistake with the products. I pointed out it wasn’t my fault either and I felt it was extremely unfair that she felt it reasonable to still try and charge me full price. With that, she agreed to a discount of £3 and suggested I go away and ‘have a good evening.’ I have seen many complaints in this salon before regarding the attitude of the owner of this salon both towards her staff and customers before so perhaps it was only a matter of time before it was my turn. Interestingly, I had found that it was she who would always advise that I needed a brand new set of nails at every second infill, so be warned. The owner of this salon knows nothing of customer service, and sadly...perhaps even worse, doesn’t care that she has lost a loyal customer who definitely won’t be returning in the future. Read Less

Very very terrible pedicure service. Starting with how they removed gel polishing from your nails. Instead of using high quality gel removal liquid/solution and apply it with the nails in a professional way, they simply rubbed the gel polishing out of your nails with electrical nail files which left the nails very very thin, rough, and sandy. Now moving to the horrible pedicure service, toes hard skin removal, which is the heart of pedicure, was not done at all. And when being asked for it, the guy staff refused straightaway (shook his head) to trim the hard skin. Also no nails cutting and also needed to ask for it. Toes nails were not shaped unless asking for it. Basically, for pedicure, they just scrubbed your legs and apply lotion on them. Almost did not do anything on your nails and toes at all. Terrible experience. I went in with beautiful natural long nails which they made me put in acetone solution. When I expressed my concerns (as my nails weren't plastic), I was told that I am going to get fungal infection unless I do it. I tried to explain that the only way to get a fungal infection is to be in contact with contaminated surfaces or people, but they kept telling me that fungus is the same as toothache (?!). Toothache is usually caused by bacteria and is very different. Instead of addressing my concerns, I was told that unless I qualify as a teacher, they will not be addressing them. Needless to say that after keeping my real nails in hot acetone, they became brittle and my skin dry. The woman cut off one of my nails to my horror, without even asking me. She then quickly glued on a plastic one. I was so proud of my long nails and I am very upset. Later on, I found that there have been many cases of fungal infections in that salon. Even one of the male technicians was working with a visible ongoing infection. I never saw them disinfecting tools or washing their hands between clients and there have been about 7 people in the salon. Read Less

The nails are always amazing and they do them exactly how you want. But the staff are so rude and volatile it’s unbelievable. Come to get one nail fixed and waited over and hour whilst they just chatted away to themselves. When doing your nail they don’t speak to you and rag you about. Read Less

Staff are extremely rude!!! Laughing and joking about customers!! My nails are absolutely ruined and are very painful I have completely lost my own nail, Have a massive chunk missing from another and 1 that’s very badly bruised do not go here they are terrible your nails will end up ruined!! Awful service. Had to wait almost 45 minutes to be served after been assured it would only be a 15 minute wait (despite staff being free and just sitting around chatting on the shop floor). In total I was in there 1hr50 just for acrylics! Staff were unbelievably rude, getting up mid-service to take personal phone calls (this happened to me three times, but all staff were the doing it). Another customer had solution spilt on her which ruined her coat and the nail technician who did it just walked away and began serving another customer, claiming she did not do anything! Over priced. The ONLY place I will go for a manicure, pedicure, and wax. Chi goes above and beyond everytime I'm in her nail studio. Anytime I would go anywhere else I would always feel awkward. Not with her. Rushed, but spent more that one and a half hours there for infills and shellac. Result is of incredibly bad quality. Shellac hadn't set yet and rubbed. In stead of rectifying the problem oil was applied and that was it. I'm left now with smudged, way too thick french tips. No cards accepted either. Read Less

This is my new favorite nail place not only are The prices affordable but everyone who works there is wonderful and caring . They take the time to know you by name. It's a place you can relax and feel so comfortable . If your looking for a nail salon this is the place I won't ever go any where else . Chi is absolutely amazing every time I go into Cosmo Nail Bar. The staff in general are always welcoming and the atmosphere is always relaxed and fun. I'm always super indecisive, but Chi always makes sure my nails look their best when I leave and I am never disappointed. They're always bold and make a statement and my clients always compliment them! My grandmother lives by "doing that one thing for yourself to look forward to" and going here for my nails, is that for me. Great service, great staff, great atmosphere..
