PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING WASTING YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!! absolutely appalled with the customer service displayed at this seemingly ‘professional’ nail salon. i have came to this salon 3 times prior to my recent appointment and have never been 100% satisfied with my nails. aswell as waiting over 2 hours to be seen, they started walking away more and more to see to the other customers when they should’ve focused on the standards they were setting and the lack of care they were displaying .after asking for a small layer of glitter on my ring finger, i was told it would be an extra £15 which is rediculous. after finally leaving the salon after getting my messy acrylics, i felt an extreme burning sensation in my cuticles and further learned that i had been cut in multiple places by the two members of staff - who were trying to see to over 15 customers at one time - which were clearly taking minimal care in the quality of the nails. i went back into the salon complaining that my cuticles were stinging and was told to ‘put on cream when i get home’ furthermore, only one of the two workers could speak english and be understood which is outrageous since they are working in an english town, populated with english-speaking people. in a nutshell, the only words to describe this salon is absolute shite. do not come here. despicable customer service at trow tips and toes, will never go back there. myself and 3 of my friends went to get a full set of acrylics and the process was rushed and not well done. when the tips of acrylics were put on my nails they were wonky and loose aswell as hurting. i asked for coffin shaped and was hoping they would cut/file the sides symmetrically however they were not and had straight lines and curved ones. my friend was cut with an electric filer which caused her finger and nail to bleed. then they put an ‘acrylic primer’ on the nail which went into the cut and created a burning sensation for her. she also wanted a sprinkle of glitter on one nail which she was told would cost an extra £10 on an already £30 set of nails. when we left the salon she went back to complain about the burning sensation and what to do and was told to put cream on it when she got home. overall, this was the WORST nail appointment i have EVER had. Horrendous! Didn’t start well when I asked to use the toilet and found a staff member literally eating her lunch next to it. No hand wash or towel in the dirty, mouldy cubicle so god knows how they all wash their hands after the toilet?? Yuk! Anyway. I was then rushed through and the male technician was rough and was filing way too quickly. There was no one waiting so no need at all to rush. He kept rudely accusing me of moving when I hadn’t?! I was beginning to actually feel quite intimidated and uncomfortable. I’ve been having my nails done for 13 years and have NEVER been accused of moving around during the process but he chastised me at least 3 times. He kept pushing me to have a new set and telling me my nails weren’t done well but my usual nail bar is FAR superior to this place. He didn’t let me wash my hands so the dust was still all around the nails and lots missed during the gel colour being applied. I also got told off for taking my hand out of the drier to soon after mistaking him staring me in the eyes as a nonverbal queue! He also rudely told me my hands were dry and because I’m a lady I should be moisturising them....which incidentally I do!! My usual nail bar rubs my nails off to shine them and gives a lovely hand massage to finish so I declined the offer a loyalty card here, as I certainly won’t be back!!! Read Less

What an horrendous experience! I left feeling decidedly grubby and couldn't wait to get home and wash my hands. Never in my 68 years have I encountered such dreadful customer treatment in the service industry. It bemuses me why the technician decided to be so hostile and aggressive towards me. I was courteously sympathetic when he proceeded to tell me that he was desperate to get away on holiday but didn't have enough money yet , and that he also had family problems. This statement was immediately followed by a long sales pitch telling me that the gel polish I had had applied at Tips @ Toes last time (by a different technician) was no good and the salon now had a much better, but expensive, product which would be better. I politely said that I wished to remain with my original choice of gel . Not sure if this was the reason that he suddenly switched mood but he started berating me for not holding my hands out correctly. This complaining (at times very vocal) went on for about 5 minutes. Whilst leaning forward I committed the mortal sin of inadvertently letting my right arm slip off the end of the arm rest.I have never witnessed a man with PMS before but it was certainly not an attractive sight! He started shouting at me and accusing me of pushing him when all I did was put my arm back on the table for him to continue. On asking where the new recommended product was listed up on the board he gave a dismissive gesture followed by "oh, we don't look at that". The only other customer in the salon was a heavily pregnant lady waiting patiently for a probably much deserved pampering package. As I didn't wish to spoil things for her I kept a lid on my anger. The technician had clearly taken great delight in complaining about me to the young girl assistant. Although this was in Vietnamese their demeanour made it pretty obvious who was being criticised. When it came to paying the bill the girl quoted a price of £17 (although the technician stated at the very beginning it was to be £20). I gave the girl a small tip (nothing for the technician!) because I felt so sorry for her having to work in such intimidating conditions. Maybe he dropped the price as a sweetener so that I wouldn't write a bad review. Who knows. My nails were very rushed and certainly haven't lasted as well as last time. The salon advertises as being an unparalleled, professional and friendly business. What a joke! Have decided to give this review one star because at least the heating was on and the colour of my nail polish is pretty. As flippant as that might sound I can't think of any other reason to praise it! Read Less

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! It was a busy Saturday and I felt very rushed throughout the whole experience - all I wanted was a manicure and pedicure with normal polish, but each employee kept pushing me to have gel nails. I had to politely refuse 5 times! I'm not a fan of shellac. I was asked to move before my nails had dried and because of this my nails were damaged while getting my wallet out of my bag. They then had the cheek to charge me £12 for the manicure even though it states £10 on their board, I was so over it all by then that I paid but did tell them that they should update their board as its illegal to charge one price and display another. I know it's only £2 but it's the principle. I won't be going back to these con artists. Read Less

Absolutely wonderful service! So accommodating and creative. Always loved my nails every time I've been. After going to another place in Trowbridge for at least 6-7 years and receiving such a poor service the last couple of times, a friend suggested going here and I'm so glad I did. Love, love, love my new nails After being recommended by a friend, I was at first a little bit apprehensive as your a new shop and your Facebook page didn't have much information on.. But I popped in today and was seen straight away which is great as I really wanted my nails done today and didn't wanna wait or come back.. The technician listen to what I wanted and did exactly what I wanted.. He was a little quiet but that's ok because he was doing a good job.. And my nails look lovely.. I was offered a coffee which was nice and the younger technician was chatty, I felt very welcomed at the shop.. The shop might I add was very tidy & clean.. Oh and an added bonus was the upto date music playing in the background.. Thank you! Read Less
