As ever when with Becky at Harringtons this week she did a fantastic job on my hair; colour and cut all just perfect. I go so regularly because my hair grows quickly and it can be difficult to get the colour balance just right. Becky always succeeds and takes the time and care to 'get it just right'. I also have quite a problem with having my hair actually washed but all the girls take the trouble to make sure I am well looked after and reassured.Read Less

I regret that I have had my hair done at Harringtons. They have two hair dressers that just do what they want to do. Unfortunately my usual hairdresser was not well so I had to find someone else to do my hair as I had important events to attend and I needed to have my roots done and have my six weekly trim. Due to having the skin test I ended having my hair cut on one day with one hairdresser and the colour done on another day. The first hairdresser instead of just giving me ...a trim decided to restyle my hair into a bob and cut two inches off the length. I did have my hair cut the following week by Maureen when she cut the layers back. Martyna coloured my hair, at the time I commented on the colour of the tint as she was putting it on and the result was not a co,our I liked. As I was happy with the cut Maureen had done I decided to continue gong to Harringtons and she has been trying to get the colour if my hair back to what it was. On my last appointment I did feel I was an inconvenience as Maureen was busy ordering equipment for the refurbished saloon. Then on Thursday I was most concerned when Maureen said that Martyna was gong to be applying the colour and blow drying my hair due to my previous experience. I did not say anything as I decided to give Martyna a second chance.While Martyna was applying the colour I was not really interested in her 'chat' so closed my eyes so she kept quiet. I also kept my eyes closed when she blow dryed my hair, I did find that it was taking a long time and she burnt my scalp twice, when I opened my eyes I hated the bouffant style she had done. Maureen was aware that I did not like it as she saw me trying to brush out the style. She did damp it down and said she would change it but by that time I was too upset and running late for my other arrangements. When I met with a friend she asked what had happened to my fringe as it was cut straight across instead of usual feathered look. When I got home I wet my hair before going to a meeting and also rang the saloon to try to arrange an appointment to have my fringe feathered but cannot do so until next Thursday. Usually when I get up the next day my hair still looks nice but yesterday I had to wash and condition my hair twice before gong to the theatre to try to get it back to my usual style. Then while in Bath I went to a hairdresser to get my fringe feathered. I will not be going back to Harringtons, hopefully I can find a hairdresser who will get my hair back to the colour I like and will cut it to the style I request. Brook regularly does my nails and is amazing. I recently gave her the challenge by showing her a photograph of the 50th Anniversay Aircraft tail of the Red Arrows as I am a volunteer and was about to go work for the Royal International Air Tattoo hosting the VIP's. The detail was minute aircraft on a union jack. Brook exceeded the challenge and did what can only be described as a totally amazing job. My colleagues at RIAT asked if it was a stick on transfer and when I told them she had done it 'freehand' everyone agreed with me how talented Brook is.
