I have been going to Hayden Nails for shellac nails between September 2017 & January 2018. Initially I had clear nails - they looked amazing - but after 3 months I noticed a couple of my nails started to look a bit odd underneath, with circular lines of white and some pinkness. I mentioned it to the owner but she didn't really explain what could be causing it. As I was having colour put on for Xmas I didn't really think about it again. Ultimately, I stopped going to Hayden Nails because I was not happy with the second colour application I had done in January - the gels had become thick & the colour application was inconsistent so on 3 nails brush strokes were visible in daylight - but not in the low light of the salon - & the gel colour had been taken over the thick ends which then wore off a little leaving stripes.Β  I went back to the salon to show them but while I accept the owner was very busy, she wasn't really interested in keeping me a happy customer - or a customer at all - in that she said you can always see brush strokes through nails if you hold gels to the light. Having had coloured nails all over Xmas without this problem, having nails on my hand at that time where this wasn't the case & having many friends who have gel nails and thought my nails looked awful, I disagree. She did offer to sort out the painted ends but her response to my dissatisfaction wasn't what I expected so I opted to go somewhere else. When I went somewhere else I was told 1. you need to have time off from gels every 6 - 8 weeks - Hayden Nails had kept applying gel for 5 months & never mentioned having a break 2. all the gel should be completely soaked off every time - Hayden Nails doesn't seem to do this & the gel had accumulated leaving it equivalent to a very hard acrylic application 3. Hayden Nails' use of electrical drill style sanders risks damaging the nail due to the heart generated. I know people with more robust nails than mine can keep having gel applications, but having asked a few salons now, I know thatΒ  good practice is to take them off after 3 sets and have a 2-4week break. Once the gel was completely taken off, it was plain to see that my precious nails were destroyed. I now understand why my nails tore & broke even under the gel.Β  They are completely thin & brittle - where previously they were long & strong - and many have snapped off at, or near, where the nail attaches to the bed of my finger leaving my hands sore & ugly. My only option is to grow my nails out completely & start again. I will not return to this salon. Read Less

Absolutely excellent. My nails are always done perfectly and last for several weeks - I have never lost one even after five weeks! Would highly recommend.
