Have been going there for a few years now, and have always been treated well by Kevin and his staff. But I must let him know that he needs to be aware of the fact that I was not welcome yesterday 3/7...
Have been going there for a few years now, and have always been treated well by Kevin and his staff. But I must let him know that he needs to be aware of the fact that I was not welcome yesterday 3/7/18 (12:00). Place was empty with 2 technicians available. I came in for my routine 2 week maintenance and your available technician was on her phone with her feet up. She was asked to take care of me and instead told the front desk receptionist (who is so kind and accommodating) that she didn't want to do it and have the other technician do it... Never will I go back. As a business owner myself, I would be furious if my staff treated a longtime client and resident of the community to be turned away because "she didn't feel like doing it"!

DO NOT EVER STOP BY!!! This place is trash! The first time i went there, the nail tech messed up my pedi and the owner gave me a coupon to come back. I should have never been went back! Unfortunately...
DO NOT EVER STOP BY!!! This place is trash! The first time i went there, the nail tech messed up my pedi and the owner gave me a coupon to come back. I should have never been went back! Unfortunately, I did and this time was worse. My nail tech was nasty and rude, she attempted to over charge me for shape and length. Not only that, my tip came off in the sink while I was being serviced. The nail tech rushed, trying to quickly solve the problem and cut my finger. It was bleeding everywhere and then they had the nerve to charge me 45 for a fill in. I went off, the owner couldn’t even explain why it was so much! Long story short, he changed the price and i will never go back! This place only caters to Caucasians! Please do not ever stop here!

I have been getting my nails done on and off for 20 yrs. I have lived all over the world due to military. This is the longest salon I have been to. I have been coming here for 2 years. I am very particular about my nails. Kevin is incredible at what he does and very patient. Noone does My nails but him and I get compliments everywhere I go. Yesterday, However I had my nails done by Nee Nee (sure spelled wrong) and I am very happy. Shes very sweet and she very focused on her j...ob and making the customer happy. Holly who does my Pedis is very down to earth and very good. Since I have been all over and I have experienced different salons, I will say I know the feeling of having bad experiences. But as a customer I have learned that different techs do things different. Its like finding a hair stylist, you have to find the right one you trust and connect with. Thats the same thing with a nail tech. With that said. Avalon may not be perfect but its the best salon I have experienced and i would reccomend all my friends here. See More

Absolutely love my nails! NiNi was my nail technician and she did a fabulous job. The salon is so nice and provides calm vibes.

The decor of the place is beautiful and the technicians are lovely but I must say, I was visiting from NJ where a pedicure exactly the same as what I received would be $20! At Avalon, the base price ...
The decor of the place is beautiful and the technicians are lovely but I must say, I was visiting from NJ where a pedicure exactly the same as what I received would be $20! At Avalon, the base price starts at $25. I added a callous remover which was $7 extra. That extra service existed of applying a callous cream and then taking a hand grater and scraping the calloused areas. That $7 service is INCLUDED in the $20 pedicures I receive at home in NJ. So, when all is said and done, I paid $12 more in MD at Avalon than I would have back at home in NJ. Suffice it to say, I'll get my pedi before I go to MD next time. P.S. massage was a gentle rub, not at all what it should've been for the price i paid.

When you're a new customer they get ANYBODY to do your nails. This chick they gave me wanted to give me the mail color SHE WANTED me to have. Then she didn't know the procedure for fill Ins. And, her English wasn't good. She got no tip and I will not be back.

My new favorite place. I did not feel like I was on a production line. Had great conversations with the staff - very light and friendly environment. Beautiful job on my pedicure and fill-in.

Been here twice now, both times I have been so happy with my end results. Very clean environment (the open implements in front of you so you know they're clean!) Im not aure the ladys name that did my nails the first time but Kevin did an AWESOME job on me today!!!!! This is definately my go to place while living here!!!

Unfortunately, I did and this time was worse. My nail tech was nasty and rude, she attempted to over charge me for shape and length.
