I had my nails done on the 30th September, they were immediately red around the cuticles and swollen but I assumed it may be due to just having them done. Come the Saturday it was unbearable, my cuticles had blistered and had strange dots all around them. I ended up pulling one off during the night due to the itchiness. I organised to have them soaked off for free by my step mum but thought I’d message Venus nails to see if they had changed their products as I’d never had issues before, and if they had maybe I have had an allergic reaction. They said they used the same products as usual and asked if I could come in on Monday. I explained they were really uncomfortable but I would wait and come in first thing on Monday. This panicked me and made me question whether the tools had been sanitised before being used on my hands as I’ve never had this before, not at Venus nails or anywhere else. Come Monday I messaged to ask if I would have to pay for them to be soaked off, and if so I would prefer to do this at home with my own equipment. They read it and did not respond. I ended up soaking and filing the nails off myself at home, once my nails were off I realised the full extent of the damage to not only my nails but the tips of my fingers. The blisters are burst and my nails were so soft and so painful. I am struggling to do anything due to the pain.
