After reading all the fabulous reviews about Mooeys, I just had to book and give them a try. Going on holiday at the end of August, I wanted a shellac manicure and pedicure so I was holiday ready! I've recently taken my acrylics off (after 4 years), so my nails aren't in the best condition. After reading the reviews, I presumed a place like this would be pretty busy around summer time, so I decided to be super organised and book early. Considering I am going away end of this ...month, I booked on the 1st July, so a month and a half in advance. On the day of my appointment, I had a phone call from Mooeys. They explained that the lady who was going to do my nails had called in sick, so they had to cancel my appointment. I completely understand there is nothing that they could do and obviously they had been left in a horrible situation. However, considering I had booked a month and a half in advance and was going to be spending £65 in there, they completely dismissed this. I asked if there was anything they could do for me, bearing in mind I was going on holiday in 2 days, being the weekend and summer most other salons would be fully booked. The lady was adamant in saying they were fully booked and there was absolutely nothing they could do, along with this a very half hearted apology and complete dis-regard towards me. Like I said, I understand they are fully booked and now short staffed.. but a sincere apology and an offer of a discount voucher for my next visit wouldn't have gone a miss. I am so impressed. No only did my underarm wax not hurt but the girls are amazing, so friendly and I absolutely love their pedicures. I have a baby as well who I always bring with and they are amazing with him I was so unbelievably impressed when I had had a poo explosion and they actually had changing facilities I could use halfway through my treatment which was also fully stocked with anything I needed!! Amazing nails! I have had the gel bottle extensions and infills which have been so good for my nails and natural looking! All the staff were very friendly and smiley making you feel comfortable. Really impressed with this salon. Staff are very friendly and down to earth and work very hard, I have been a couple of times and always received flawless service. The building is also very unique, with beautiful furnishings that create a very homely and comfortable environment. Although I haven't been able to reach them on the phone due to the staff being in treatments whenever I call, they always reply promptly to my voicemails. Always a pleasure visiting #mooeys in Horsham. The girls are fab; couple of occasions I've had my 7 yo daughter with me, and they always accommodate her and she also leaves a happy, little lady too. Would highly recommend visiting. However what's also unusual but nice, there are no acrylics or gels in sight apart from Shellac. My nails are so happy now, no more nasty acrylics. There is also a points/reward system; so the more visits, you can build towards a free nail treatment. Read Less
