I went here with 4 family members to have our nails and toes done for my wedding the next day , all the girls except one were very friendly and talkative and made us feel very welcome , the owner did my nails and did an amazing job , he upgraded me to the gel nails instead of acrylic , unfortunately the gel nails are too fragile for me and most broke off within 4 days , not his fault I'm rough on my nails though they were still BEAUTIFUL for my wedding our pedis were so amazing the smell , the massages were great ! I went to this Maumee location since he opened, i was thrilled to see the salon was still there while I was in town this past week, I went in on Wed. afternoon this past week around 2 PM..I asked if I could get a pedicure...I was asked to sign in for service which I did...then I was told there were no apps until 2:30 pm on Saturday....2 customers were getting nails done, no one was waiting and no one in the pedicure chairs....i saw 4 employees standing around....went down the street to L'Amour nails on Dussel, walked in, was in a chair in less than 2 minutes...6 customers being served....so much for Jonathon Koi... My daughter (age 10) and I visited the Maumee location for the first time yesterday (Thursday, Dec 29) as part of a "girls day out" while on Christmas break. We got pedicures and although the front desk girl was pleasant, the girls doing the pedicures were more interested in talking with each other than with their clients. My daughter especially was completely ignored. She even mentioned it to my husband and then I heard her say it again to a friend later that night..."my gi...rl didn't even talk to me. Or look at me".. were her exact words. This made me feel bad for the experience she had but also alittle upset because she ruined this time for my daughter. I don't know if it was because she was 10, but I would think with the holidays here there would be plenty to talk about. I'm very disappointed that a salon that claims to be "best in customer experience " has such poor customer service skills! I been going since opening in Maumee, Ohio. I love, love this Nsil Spa. I started out with acrylic nails for a long time until my health change the way I wore my nails. Jessica showed me the light. Gels are awesome to wear and over you own natural nail. My girl is Jessica and I love the way she keeps up on the nail trend and my nails rock with the latest Opi color. Jonathon Khoi Nail Spa is so peaceful with the color scheme and decor. It is so strange when the front desk host ask what I like to drink. Now, that is four **** service. I used to love this place, before it got big! Now, it's very stuck up and I have felt rushed out of there the last 3 times. The last time I went I scheduled for 3 full gel mani's/pedi's, as a treat for my girlfriends and I. We told them we wanted designs when we made the appointment. When we got there we were told that there wouldn't be enough time so we would have to pick a solid paint color. The design was nothing complicated. I spent almost $300 for this service for the 3... of us, and that didn't seem to make a difference one bit!!!! I had my appointment booked like everyone else. We had to ask for the treatment and drinks that came with our pedicure and got them the last 5 minutes of our pedi's. Then one of my friends and I got an ingrown toe nail from that day. Very disappointed in how their service changed in a few short years. I used to go there religiously. I'm far from a difficult person to please, but after the last 3 bad experiences, I'm moving on.
