Unlike the two previous reviewers, I like that I am in and out in an hour! I have had several very competent pedicures at this salon. Perhaps a little more attention could have been paid to dry skin. I went here for a gel pedicure for my sons wedding end of July. the polish was peeling off within a day. even before the wedding. Dont know why never had a gel polish before. Anyway well I went to another salon had the same request. the polish has been on for over a month now. need a fill. anyway I know why now. they forgot to set my toes under a light or something. that part of the procedure they forgot too do. very unsatisfied. I chose this salon on my vacation because of its high, 5 star reviews but was badly disappointed. It was probably the worst pedicure I've ever had. The tech didn't properly exfoliate my feet and hardened skin, she did not trim my cuticles and when I pointed out one hard spot on the bottom of my toe, she proceeded to cut at it with cuticle trimmers but did not smooth it with a foot file. The polish itself was sloppy and started peeling couple of days later. My regular salon at... home (Hamilton) takes good 40-45 min between the beginning of the foot bath and when I am ready for the drying session. This place whipped me in and out to the drying station in 15 minutes so that gives you the idea of how thorough they were. My salon also only charges $25 for a pedicure. This place is a disgrace and disgusting. The people there are incredibly rude. My mum was 15 minutes late due to traffic and the lady was so horrible. She was getting her nails filed whilst constantly bieng nagged, 'are you sure you want your nails done because I can't do anything fancy'. Women was really rude and not helpful at all. I was told 10.30 and she rang on day saying it was 10. I said im on my way could not find place rang to ask she said you're too far away im cancelling both appointments and hung up on me rang back to atleast keep 1 appointment but was not helpful at all. I have been going to Original Nails regularly for a year now. I can not fault the place. A friendly relaxed atmosphere and I always come out loving my nails. I always make sure I have booked in advance as slots are taken up very quick due to them being very popular. My daughter has been a regular customer for over 3 years and has the most beautiful designs every time. I have been going to Original Nail Studio for years and I will never go anywhere else for my nails as this salon is 5* quality. I have recommended many of my friends to the shop as so many of them have commented on how lovely my nails are and they love the shop just as much as I do. The staff are very professional, friendly and will always go that extra mile :) So much so that along the way these guys have become my very good friends! This studio was highly recommended to me by my friend who gets her nails done here regularly. I had seen the quality of their work and was very eager to get my nails done there too. So my friend, who is their regular customer booked an appointment for me 3 weeks prior. But when I got to the salon I was told there was no appointment made for me... Not only sighing and raising their eyebrows at me but also talking about me in Chinese and making comments under their breath...a v...ery rude sentence in English was made which my oldest daughter heard. Also they made it seem as if I was lying about having an appointment in the first place. I would not expect them to push paying customers away however that was not the case. Overall they didn't offer to rearrange a different appointment time for me and they were extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of my children and the customers in the salon, which is very unprofessional!
