went to have my nails done. I asked the receptionist about the cost of the design like her nails she answered £38 includingthe design. After the lady finished my nails she gave me a paper with £48 to pay. I told her about the price I have been offered at the reception .After a long discussion she reduced it to £42. After I came back from holiday I removed the fake nails & I found out that 1 of my own nail was shipped . I contacted the manager to complain he told me to come next day to make it up with me . As I went i showed him my damaged nail & asked him what is his offer to make it up ? he said I will have to pay the full price. I asked him why he ordered me today for? If I have to pay the full price? Speciality I am not local & I have to catch 3 buses He said just to make sure my nails is been done in a good way that's his offer no more. I was recommended Broadway Beauty Salon & Nail Bar by a friend for waxing. I got my first wax in December and honestly best thing I have ever done in my life. So much better than shaving. You hair grow softer and nicer than when you shave. Nevertheless, I am so happy about the customer service and I thank my wax Lady Undra she is honestly the best. I used to be a regular customer at this salon when I lived in near the area. However I moved so no longer go here. The nails were always very good in terms of design and shape (I usually had a permanent white tip at the time, but I did have a different colour and design once, which I was very impressed with. I always had acrylics, but once I was asked if I wanted ‘gel nails’ because they are better. They said they were slightly more expensive but worth it. So I agreed. However they used what seemed to be the exact the same powder and liquid as they use for acrylics. I was told they were ‘gel powder nails’. Then once it was applied, I had to hold my hand under the uv light (which only looked like a normal lamp to me). I wasn’t happy with that as I was convinced I was paying slightly more and only getting acrylics, not actual gel nails. Also the staff were often very rude, always chatting on the phone or to each other in their own language and completely ignoring the clients- no direct conversation except from instructions relating to the nail process (“hold hand up”, “go wash your hands”).
