Had a shellac manicure from this place and normally they are 10/10 but this time was different. The male manicurist was extremely rude when I pointed out that he had painted all over my cuticles he only used his fingernail to try to push the shellac off them, which obviously didn't work. I've never had problems with anyone else there. My thumbs did not set properly so they wrinkled and came off when I got home. So so disappointed especially as he tried to blame my nail shape as opposed to his technique. Read Less

I hate having to say bad things about businesses, but my appointment for eyelash extensions here made me think that I was unwittingly part of a Faulty Towers-esque sitcom! When I walked in and asked if I needed to walk through the nail section because I was there for eyelashes, someone pointed to a chair and said 'Sit down!' Okay. The lady arrived after me who was going to do the treatment and lead me through to a grotty little room at the back. There was a high-chair and pi...le of old clothes in the corner. Next to the room was a child's bedroom with a little girl and her friend who had been given a keyboard to practice 'Mary had a little lamb' over and over, but never quite nailing it. The lady applying the lashes was quite pleasant, but after 50 minutes (these treatments usually take 90 minutes- 2 hours) she told me she had to finish because she had a doctors appointment. I should keep my eyes shut and wait for someone to come and check on me. Twenty minutes later someone came in. I explained that my eyes were stinging and I could feel that some of the lashes were stuck together and to my lower lashes. She tried to detangle them and apply more where there were gaps. Instead of using a fan to allow the new glue to dry she blew on my face. The original lady returned and tried to fix them, and managed to pull out one of my eyelashes by mistake. She was very apologetic. In the end we got somewhere near to complete, and she asked me to fill out a form. 'But this confirms that I had a patch test. I didn't. I phoned to make an appointment after driving past and seeing a sign saying you offer eyelash extensions.' I then went to pay, to be told that they only take cash. It was all a bit of a shambles! Not very impressed by this nail salon. Felt like the woman was rushing my appointment even though i had already booked, ended up with probably one of the worst nail extensions (i got acrylic extensions with gel polish), some of the nails have been filed wonky and are not even and very messy underneath the nail extension with rough edges where some of them haven't been filed properly .. definitely shouldn't of paid £33 for them !
