I now use this salon regularly and always find all the staff there very friendly and helpful. If I go at a time when they are not too busy I am always offered refreshments. Their services are great - their pedicures are the best I have had anywhere. Their gel manicures also last longer than the promised two weeks. The salon is also very spacious and comfortable. I visited this salon for basic infills (whilst my own usual nail technician was out of town) and sadly the experience was not great at all. It was VERY rushed and the filing of my nails resulted in my fingers being cut / grazed with the nail file. however, since my usual girl was gone for a whole month I gave VANESSA'S one more try - putting the bad experience down to it being a 6pm weekday appointment prior to easter weekend and perhaps thinking that the girl wanted to get home for the evening! This time I booked a saturday day-time appointment for a new set of nails and what they call a LUXE pedicure. I can categorically say that I have never experienced such a poor pedicure. I left the salon feeling like I needed to go for a pedicure! Regarding the new set of nails, this was even worse! they left me sitting unattended for ages whilst the girl doing my nails went off to do various other clients nails and the job she did, which took about 2 hours(!!!) was appalling! On my last visit in December I was subjected to a torrent of verbal abuse by the man on the desk for simply requesting whether or not they had ordered in my favourite nail polish! He was shouting at the top of his voice and being completely disrespectful. The owner sat there in silence and did not intervene. Turned out to be his wife! I wanted to walk out but I had a friend with me who has memory problems and would have been upset. Si I sat down to allow her to do my nails upon which she stood up and and retrieved the said nail colour from a cupboard. She knew it was there so why all the fuss.
