It says on their website that there are no hidden costs but yet they don't provide prices for anything on the site. From reading their description of their services it sounds nice but in order to make in informed decision on whether or not I want to book anything makes it impossible. I like to compare prices of my services before hand.... And browse through everything without having to call and ask how much each service is. There's too many things offered to do that. I unders...tand prices change on things but that's part of keep up with your business and marketing is to maintain an updated website. As someone new to the area I look everything up before I try it out. I prefer not to walk into a salon blind. Depending on prices I make get more or less amount of services. I just want everyone to know about Avenue Hair Styling & Day Spa. 807 S. Kansas Avenue....785-233-5225. I have to let everyone know about my experience which turned out to be excellent service. I had extensions in and I was allergic to the tip which were itching my scalp severely and could not find anyone to replace them. I called Avenue Hair Styling, not being a customer and talked to the owner and she told me to come in and she will do what she can! She replaced them for... me right then and there. She also gave me a perm to match my extensions, out of the goodness of her heart!!! And she also called a client of hers to see if she could come in the next day to continue with my hair. The client was nice enough to do so which I want to thank her! My hair turned out great and I want to tell everyone to try this place out because the owner and her staff know what they are doing and want to please their clients. I was so thankful for what she did and I couldn't thank her enough. She had an appointment to go to and she called them and told them that she was running late because she finished my hair!!! She is very kind and thoughtful and has owned her business since 1988.....They also have a Massage Therapist who I'm going to try out! They do nails and pedicures also! My younger sister came home crying after the stylist, cut her hair too short. She had asked for a trim and instead lost six to eight inches. When she told the stylist it was getting to short, she proceeded to continue cutting. We called the salon to inquire about the cut itself as well as receiving a refund. Upon entering the store we were greeting with a scowl from the owner, she did not apologize and told us that in order to receive the refund we needed to have my sisters c...ard with us (we had left her at home so she could calm down), regardless that it was debit. I work in retail as a customer service rep, I know how to treat a customer, this woman does not. Not only did she ignore my sister, she was then rude to me mother and I. Needless to say, we will certainly be back tomorrow to get the refund, because this stylist does not deserve payment for leaving a customer unsatisfied. See More Read Less
