I recently went for a massage at The Works. The 3 staff members I interacted with were all extremely friendly and very professional, going out of their way to help me. I was placed in the downstairs room which was a little susceptible to the sound of creaky floorboards upstairs but was so warm and nicely decorated that I didn't mind. Love coming here - it's a real treat - friendly staff, expert treatments and feel really at home! My nails have gone from weak, short and damaged to strong and healthy thanks to Amy (Louise). I love my fortnightly visits to The Works. I have had several treatments here and I am always happy with the service. Facials, full body polish, spray tan, eyebrows and always my nails with the lovely Kate. The staff are all lovely, always helpful and understanding of your needs. Average. The positives are that the decor is lovely and the choice of products were nice. What takes the shine off are the not very warm or welcoming staff, my therapist didn't introduce herself and the girl the took my payment didn't do anything to keep my business after being disappointed about the offer. The taster facial was nice, however my neck and chest wasn't touched. When the therapist began the facial no gentle intro was used and the hot pads straight onto my eye...s was a bit harsh. There is such a noise coming from upstairs it's hard to relax. The eyebrow waxing was ok, as in her technique but the result was not fab, I had to ask for the shape to be put in on the top. The therapist did try to explain that they were difficult to get out but I know I will be able to get them out, which isn't the point really. Lastly the offer 'ABC' isn't the same as it is on the website which is disappointing. So I just paid for what I had and probably won't go back. Went for a spray tan today during what can only be described as a monsoon!!! The Works girls went out of their way to make sure my soaking wet clothes were dried (in the tumble drier) and also walked me to my car holding a brolly (they let me park around the back of the salon so not to let torrential rain ruin my tan)!!!! I first tried the Works Beauty Studio because they were the only Salon in Sheffield I could find that did the Gelish nail treatment. The initial colour I had put on did not set well so Helen redid both hands for no change and the second set has been perfect (first time was product issue not technician)! I also did a bikini waxing there from Helen and I can say that she did a great job!! It was quick and lasted longer than I've ever had before.
