Went to have a full set done today. Haven't had them done by this guy before. Ginger hair. He was abrupt and not polite. I told him how I wanted them shaped and he said they were finished yet. No conversation at all. As a nail tech myself I wouldn't of bothered going to them but I struggle to get good finish in opposite hand. The place stinks of monomnor. At there is no atmosphere. To do my nails in 45mins for 30.00 they must be racking it in and using imports of shellac and not legitimate products.. Read Less

Very rude people one of my nails came off with in 4 days went back today to get it done and they said my nails were so tiny that they may come off again they started talking in there language obviously about me and looked at me and started laughing made me feel so uncomfortable and they put a different shade of silver on never again no wonder there always quiet Read Less

I had my nails done at the establishment on Tuesday. The lady who just filed my nails kept missing my nails. The file kept hitting my hand. The gentleman who did the rest of the work on my nails has nipped my skin a few times. Causing it to bleed and being really sore. At one point, he tried to pass me onto the lady who was already working with a customer. Although my nails look very pretty, the experience was awful. The staff talk amongst themselves without any recognition that I was there. I should have been offered a discount after being nipped a few times. Please remember that customer service is vital! Nice establishment and layout, I've known owner/management for many years from London to Cardiff. This is the 1st time that I've been this dissatisfied. I had to keep requesting for nails to be fixed the way I know she's capable of doing and the way I like. Which is sad, very sad. 😢 I had full set American gel, shellac on hands and full pedicure with shellac ombre on big toe. She wasn't optimistic about me having gems on nails and stated; "they're going to come off!" Not muc...h glue was used when applying the gems, she didn't file where the gems were being applied or consider utilising gel when applying the gems or apply a coating of bonding nail varnish over the top of my nails. The water in foot spa was too hot, however, she did look up in concern when I yelped. The remote wasn't handed to me so that I could adjust settings nor was I asked what I would like the setting on. I was happy to have a back massage though just what I needed wish I'd have had the opportunity to raise the height of the massage kneading to my neck as I'm disabled. There was care placed in the foot massage by hand however, but for £80.00 I'd expect more enquiry into my happiness. I had an ombré toe, that didn't leave me very pleased, as I had to keep asking for it to be corrected. I'm quite disappointed as when I saw the reviews I was sure this couldn't be true! AVIOD!! Terrible customer service , rude , non compliment and cheeky! My nails were wonky and the shapping was way off, to top it all off they have very limited choice of actual "nail polish" which forced me to go with the gel options. I was informed by the lady after my nails had been done that they do not accept card which I had no knowledge of , I offered to leave my bag and mobile in the shop whilst I got cash back from the shop closest to the salon , the women "that goes by the name of sally" ran after when I went to retrieve the money me causing a massive scene in the shop I went to get cash back from. Police were called for her disruptive behaviour and I'm waiting on further notice. To top it off my nails fell off within the first week and my own nails and I'm terrible condition. I thought I'd also add how they refused to give the women next to me a foot pedicure as they "couldn't stand to look at her feet". Vile nasty business Read Less

Brilliant. Always had a lovely experience. Really happy with the nails and have never ever had any fall off. My mum has been going here 6 years and will continue to do so. Staff are always polite and welcoming. Would highly recommend. Read Less

WOULDNT recommend. Went here a few times for my nails to be done and no problems, last time I had my nails done they all fell off within a week and went to speak to her about it absolutely disgusting attitude, got clients involved to say they've never fallen off and called me a liar. Awful, very rude. Wonky nails & after a week i have a crack on my thumb!!! Phoned up and said I had to pay. When it was no fault of my own! She didn't put enough acrylic liquid on the nails either. If I could give this place zero stars, I would! My fiancé and I went here to get our nails done for our engagement shoot. My nails are almost always messily painted and the varnish is chipped within seconds of application. I'm no 'Plastic' as the teens would say. I always envy people their perfect nails. If I had the kind of lifestyle that leant itself to nice nails, I could spend a lot of time in places like American Best Nails. I'm kinda of glad I haven't though. Pals who've visited, have come out with the odd scratch, half an hour of fairly dull conversation and some great looking talons for thirty odd quid that lasted for four weeks. FOUR WEEKS. I don't go in for all of this nail extensions and decorative paint jobs malarkey. Well, not these days anyway. I do a lot of gardening, and it would simply be a waste of money. I used to have my nails done, without the multi-coloured varnish with motifs and diamante glue-ons, when I worked in the computer industry many years ago... things were a lot more sedate back then!A friend of mine decided to try them out, and American Best Nails is who she chose to do them. She's quite shy, and admitted that she didn't engage much in the conversation, that nonetheless bounced along quite happily without her for much of the time. It seems that the technicians had much to talk about amongst themselves!The results were pretty impressive, and lasted well over a month before my friend broke a couple of them on the door handle of her car. A gust of wind caught the door as she was opening it, and slammed the door shut again, taking two of the nails with it. After this, she decided to cut them all off, as they no longer looked so good.Although she enjoyed having lovely long nails all of the same length, she won't be forking out the cash to get them done again. They cost over £30 for the gel nails and airbrush paint job, and caused havoc with her contacts, making it particularly difficult to take her lenses out. Read Less
