ABSOLUTELY disgusted with this place. 1. They wouldn’t do nail art even though it is advertised 2. My nails are all yellow and not put on properly as they are peeling from my nail bed after 1 week 3. I found Violet Nails & Spa on Yelp. Both FB and Yelp showed good reviews so I figured I'd give them a try. I'm so glad I did. My technician did a great job getting rid of my horrible calluses. I have been coming to Violet Nails & Spa now for 6 days and I love it! The staff here is awesome and is very personable and wants to make sure you have the best experience while you are there. Their work is beautiful and they takes pride to make sure you get exactly what you want. Everyone is always nice and friendly. The salon is always clean. You can tell the customers that come in really enjoy themselves because everyone is always laughing and talking. You meet new people everytime you walk in! I have been to Violet Nails & Spa once before and enjoyed my experience so decided to give it another try this morning. I just recently had a baby so I haven't been able to take care of my nails in a couple months for lack of a sitter. Needless to say, today's trip was long over due and I was excited to have a good experience. I got there when they first opened around 10:30 am and they were already busy but I got seated in a pedi chair in less than 5 mins. I came with pictures of the designs I wanted and my technician, She did my pedi and full set, knocked it out of the park. This nail salon is amazing! The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They offer water and even wine (for those of age of course). They are reasonably priced and super clean! They have tons of options for pedicures, organic products, and my favorite- SNS healthy nails! I have lived in Tampa for 4 years and just now found them... Two of my friends and I went and it was great. The salon is very pretty and clean. All the associates are so nice. I have difficult nails to get almond shape with acrylics but he did a great job and they look fantastic and hardly tilt upwards at all. The pedicure foot baths have removable plastic bags to be very clean. And change colors. The smell in salons can sometimes be overwhelming but this place was very nice. And the tables and instruments were very clean and the brush holder was so cute and sparkly. They had a good selection of polish. I decided I needed to make a change and found this salon. They are top notch. Very clean and neat salon. I went in for a pedicure with Mindy and she is very patient and kind and does great work. Today I went in for my first full set of nails with T, and he is awesome. I am very picky and particular about my nails and toes and they did awesome the first time with no hang ups! DONT GO HERE!!! I went in and had acrylics done the man that did them didn't talk to me he was very rough and Careless and to top it all off he made my cuticle bleed on my thumb!!! A week has passed and I had to go back... The bottom half of my acrylic on one nail had completely come off so it was just my tip there and when he infilled he was worse than last time and the final results we awful It was lumpy and will probably come off again... Anyone thinking if going to America Star Nails in Street...??? DON'T was the worst manicure I've ever had, £12.00 for a manicure with no polish, not bad I thought.... MORE FOOL ME! The place was dirty and although I like to rave I do not want lud rave music blaring from a TV whilst Im trying to relax and have a manicure! The 2 guys in there were indifferent and spent a grand total of 5 minutes on my hands!!!!!!! Absolutely pointless, the nails were not filed correctly or even shaped, the cuticles were not pushed back properly the care was absolutely rubbish, and to be honest I could have done a better job myself!!!!!!! Not to mention the awful ‘hand massage’ that was meant to be included, not only did I feel like someone had just abused my poor hands but the man doing it had longer nails than me which kept stabbing me!!!!
