I am exstreamley happy with the service and quality of my nails. Just had acrylic extensions done for the second time and I will be a regular for sure from now on. Shocking. Disappointed. Rude staff who couldn’t care less. One member of staff accidentally stuck a load of nail glue on my finger which caused my skin to stick to my nail and she used her nail to try and free it, she persisted and pushed that hard she actually broke the skin which started bleeding. My favourite nail place in Oxford. The ladies are always welcoming and try their best to accommodate everyone who walks in, even when they are extremely busy. Never had a problem booking appointments. The colour choices are excellent and better than others I have been to. My acrylic nails last me a long time and get complimented all the time. Didn't fill the nail varnish in properly on acrylics, they rushed me cause i have toddlers ' who were making to much noise '. Can see have my nail on each side and feel the acrylics already. Bare in mind had them done only last friday . ... shame ! Wont be returning there!. Read Less

Bad customer service, in store and over Facebook messenger. In store, the workers would chat to each other and me in English, then would bitch about me and other customers in their own language. I understand they want to discuss my nails, but they shouldn't go from speaking English to each other, where I can hear about what they're up to at the weekend, to then talking in Chinese about my nails and other customers. Over Facebook messenger, I messaged them over a week ago sayi...ng how badly they painted my gelish nails (they weren't painted all the way down towards the cuticle, they looked like they were a week old, not a day old). They still haven't replied, even though it says "replies with an hour" when you type out a message. It's been WELL OVER an hour, WELL OVER a week. I'm not happy with this customer service at all. Oxford Nails are one of the better nail salons in Oxford but sadly the attitude from the staff does not equal their work as manicurists. I have always found the staff to be mildly rude but have overlooked this due to the good results I've had with my manicures, however as of today I will no longer be using them. I called earlier in the day to make a booking and was told they would be available at 1.15, but when I arrived it was clear no-one was going to be available for some ...time as they were full. I was told to wait, I waited for 20 minutes before being told to sit at a manicurists table. After a further 5 minutes a manicurist came over to start, I informed my manicurist that I would need to leave at 10 to 2 and I was rudely told this wouldn’t be possible. I explained that as I’d booked for 1.15 I’d expected to be seen at my appointment time which was when the manicurist shouted at me informing me it was my own fault and I should have told them when booking. Being short for time and having just been shouted at in front of an entire roomful of strangers, I decided I’d rather not chance finishing on time and decided not to have my nails done. I have recommended Oxford Nails to a number of friends but as of today I will no longer be doing so, and I will be going elsewhere for my manicures... it's hardly like I'm limited for choice. I do shellac for 5 years now. 2 weeks ago I thought I give it a go and try this place!!! What a mistake just after 3 days I had to go back to re- do some of my nails as they chipped already. 2 weeks later it looks like I had my nails done ages ago!!! Do not go!!!! Horrible service. The nails techs cannot polish well. I specifically said I wanted the high tips yet she polished my entire nail. When her colleague called her out on it, she just sat there confused. The lady in the pedicure chair was cut beyond belief when they were scrapping her foot. A lady before me nail was rising before she even left the shop. The lady that did my pedicure polished my skin. Just all around horrible. Then when I told the lady I wouldn't be back, she got mad and got louder when we were discussing payments. Do not go her. Amy's is better. Read Less

I came here on a Friday without a reservation and they were able to do a manicure right away. My manicure lasted about 20 minutes and they did a really good job. They took their time to make sure the nails were perfectly prepped/shaped. One thing I thought was weird was that they massage your hands while you are drying them and lotion got on my nails, it did not effect the manicure but I was a little concerned while they wete doing it.
