My daughter went in at 11 in the morning and had her nails done for prom the next day. When she got home, we noticed a slight chip in one of her fingers plus the glitter on one of the fingers was severely wonky and bumpy. So we went back to see if they would re-do the two nails as having only had them done around 2 hours previous was ridiculous. So we entered and the woman was incredibly rude about the young generation and that they bring in the old people to complain for them. Also, she went on to say that we only went back for the money when we definitely didn’t and we only wanted her nails to look nice for prom. They then “fixed” the nails, and by this, I mean that they made one look worse than the chip had originally looked making a large hole in it. My daughter at this point just wanted to leave as the woman had previously sworn at us originally, even though we had not been rude at all and were very diplomatic. So instead we had to go all across Bicester to find a jewel to cover the absolute mess they had left the index finger nail in. I could put 0 stars I would.. Last Wednesday I had gel nails applied at Gold star nail bar on crown walk,costing £22,looking at my nails the colour has been poorly applied as natural nail can still be seen through the polish,was applied unevenly and the polish is chipping at the top of nail where the cuticle lies. Overall not worth 22 pound. After going to the nail salon at 12:40pm today ,I spoke with the owner and told her my concerns,In return I was quickly and quite viscously told that I shall not receive a refund nor will she redo my nails,she was incredibly rude,arrogant and forceful. Grabbing at my hands and pulling them towards her to take a picture..hiding the damaged nails under the hand that looked ok And refusing to even look at the nails I have originally come to complain about. I asked to put in a complaint and was told that they don’t have a complaint system and I was told to complain else where. As I was leaving the premises the owner was loudly addressing other customers about the situation that had just happened. I would have given a 4 star review if my foot had not been gashed. Only 4 because we asked that my daughter’s nails match her toes, but they are not even close. I was too busy trying to contain the bleeding on my foot to make sure the manicurist was getting the right color of Shellac. I would have given a 3 Star review even though a huge chunk in my foot was cut IF you had done the right thing and given my pedicure for free. It was not. I would have given a 2 star review even... though my foot was cut IF a discount was given. It was not. Instead, I am giving a 1 star review because my foot was cut, it bled like crazy, the burn from the medicine was insanely painful, and now the bottom of my foot looks just as awful as it hurts. So I paid $90 today for a mismatched manicure/ pedicure and a foot that hurts to walk on, all in addition to a stressful pedicure. I am seriously shocked that I was charged the full price. This place is absolutely rubbish. I rang them specially to tell them that I will be there at the specific time. When I turn up the lady says because I'm 2 minutes late she can't do my nails. Absolutely awful. My nails had a yellow tinge, not shaped correctly and loads of bubbles in the acrylic and not to mention they split my finger. I went in last week and had them done but they came out lumpy and crooked ! my nails were all different shapes and sizes and they look like a 6 year old did them ! Never going back and the only reason I went was because it was highly recommended. But I do not recommend this place to anyone after seeing the horrible job they did with my nails! I'm outraged! I went today for the first time after reading the reviews on Yelp. I paid for the $45 pearl pedicure (plus tip). After getting home and taking off my flip flops, I noticed the balls of my feet were not well done and even small pieces of loose skin hanging. They were rather busy, and the lady seemed rushed to finish me and get to her next client. In addition, sections of the nail polish are not well done. I will not be returning unless they are willing to correct for free. **U...pdate** I came back for the polish to be fixed and a rebuff. I have gone to the same salon for 2 years. I made appts with them every time that I went and took co-workers with me. I was being ignored, and spent 3 hours there for a manicure and pedicure. I went out of my way to go to that salon. I went to DELUXE NAILS which is right next door, and they were very nice, and fast. Thank you.
