New to Morpeth, Pinky’s Nails came highly recommended. However my sister and I did not get past the receptionist to make an appointment. We were promptly informed that Pinky’s would not be taking on any more clients. Thinking that this meant  that they were busy that day  or for the rest of the week, we tried to make an appointment. We were told by the receptionist that they could not give us  an available date. However we could phone in and try our luck. We were directed to the phone number displayed outside on the window. We asked if they could recommend another salon, to which the receptionist replied, She could not. In short , an unpleasant and unwelcoming first impression. A complete contrast to Morpeth Nails. Newgate Street, a family run business.  It was busy with walk-ins as well as appointments. PInky's came highly recommended by friends in Morpeth. My sister and I were excited to drop by and make an appointment. Unfortunately, things went pear shape the moment we entered the doorway. The owner - we can only assume - briskly walked over to us and explained that PInky's is not taking on any more clients. They have enough clients for the foreseeable future. We asked could we take a card and see when when things lighten up and was told there is a phone number on the glass window. We left the establishment feeling puzzled and in dismay. Is Pinky's open one day a week and has all of Morpeth as it's clients? Or are they choosing who comes and who does not? In conclusion we found Morpeth Nails Salon, a two minute walk away, a lot more inviting. We were surprised to find a salon in such close proximity to Pinky's.
