Visited the salon recently for a spa day package. The Scottish Signature Candle Massage is just amazing. My skin felt and smelled fantastic for the rest of the day, and the chocolate fondue was an added bonus. I have been using the spa/salon for almost a year now, I have an addiction to Nova Lash American Volume lashes. Prior to jumping ship to The Scottish Beauty Room I used to get the normal lashes elsewhere, they were ok but the salon opening times were really restrictive. I was delighted after doing my research that this salon/spa has 4 late nights to 8pm, this is absolutely perfect for me. Marie does my American Volume lashes and I honestly couldn't fault or be without them. She does them beautifully and I get comments about them all the time. I love the salon, the girls are lovely and on the few occasions when I've had to change or alter my appointments, they have bent over backwards to do everything to accommodate me despite being absolutely choca block. I highly recommend The Scottish Beauty Room, its always a lovely experience going there and the treatments are fantastic. I never leave reviews on anything but I actually feel that on this occasion I feel compelled to because Marie cancelled her day off today to do my top up because I made a blunder and booked the wrong appointment. I booked the Iona spa package for my mum for Mother's Day and took her and my sister along for the day on Saturday just passed, to say we were impressed was an understatement. Having been to many of the top spas in and around Glasgow we were completely overwhelmed at how welcoming and attentive the girls and Marie were! From the moment we arrived at the spa Emma came and got us, we were shown around the venue and taken upstairs to our own private relaxation room for the after...noon and provided with robes and slippers which were very soft and cosy. Emma then showed us to the sauna and experience shower. We had a great time being able to relax and take things at our own pace, the sauna was the perfect temperature and the shower was amazing, once we came back out we had been left complimentary fresh fruit and juice along with water and granola bars which were a welcome treat! Then girls then came and got us for our treatments which were to die for! My mum had a pain in her shoulder for weeks and Marie sorted it for her as well as giving her a fantastic massage and facial! Both my sister and I also had fantastic massages and facials from Robyn and Emma too the girls were great with us all. I can not recommend this highly enough as all 3 of us said it was by far and away the best spa day we have had and as I said we've been to all the top Glasgow spas and hands down this wins! We are looking forward to booking in for out Turkish spa day during the summer months as Marie has another fantastic offer on! Just go here, I had such an amazing relaxing day here, used the Spa Suite then had a Bamboo massage followed by lunch and then a facial all of which were carried out by a young Therapist who I later found out had been awarded student of the year! she was extremely good at her job and better than some of the top end Spa retreat Therapist which you pay at least 4 times the price for!!!! and in these days of austerity why would you pay more. I have to admit... I get a bit wary of places that offer deep discounted beauty treatments, especially waxes. It raises some eyebrows, right? Well, at least I thought I had learned my lesson from a bad wax here, a horrible haircut there in sunny Glasgow. Sure enough I was sucked into a livingsocial deal (haven't heard of it, check them out @ livingsocial.com) with an offer I couldn't refuse... 3 "trips to Brazil/Hollywood" for £35. One "trip to Brazil/Hollywood" normally sets you back £30/35 at a reputable salon.Tucked away in 183 Bath Street, you are whisked away to the treatment room in the back. It's the same ole drill: strip, lie down, wax, ouch, stretch, wax, ouch, turn, wax, ouch, and you're done. Claire is wonderful banter who does a clever job of distracting you from the pain (to be honest, I'm used to it now) while doing a superb job getting every little bit off in less than 15 minutes (I guess that varies person to person... eck too much info there...). The Waxing Rooms is a clean, hygienic place for your monthly "trips to Brazil/Hollywood". Banter, no double dipping, clean and efficient job... what more could you ask for. Read Less

I had an eventful afternoon yesterday - I finally got a haircut!My hair was blowing around in all directions, I looked like I'd just got back from Woodstock (1969) - it was time for a chop. And after much searching for a standby at the last minute, I stumbled upon this place. It's cosied away from the main streets in the bottom floor of a posh tenement on Bath Street and thankfully it was quiet enough to get a trim.It's a fresh, clean, sleek looking salon decorated in warm cream colours with music channels playing quietly in the background. It looks very swanky, but standby cuts are only £25 which is unbelievably reasonable for the quality of this place. It's uncluttered, and you're not hit with a shelving unit full of hair products as you walk in the door which is refreshing.But the main selling point of The Salon are the staff. The girls were so friendly, relaxed and confident with all clients and made us feel at home without being pushy. The girl cutting my hair was called Leanne and she was friendly, giving constructive advice and listening to my hair gripes while she snipped away at it. It was honestly the quickest, most relaxed hair cut I've ever had and before I knew it she'd got rid of all the damage and given me a sleek new 'do.The lovely girl working at the desk said I "looked like a new person" which isn't a lie, I love the cut! It's so much more manageable without being too drastic and looks very sophisticated. I've had loads of compliments and am really happy with it.It's probably the only salon I've been to where I've not been pushed to buy a product and the quality of service is brilliant.
