Went to this place for a new set of gel nails, as I walked in I asked how long the wait would be before they could do my nails, to be told 30 minutes. I agreed to this waiting time and said I’d come back within that time so I could do some shopping. I returned after 20 minutes, i waited a short time and was then invited to take a seat ready for my nails to be removed. After sitting with nails dipped in remover I then got a trainee come to remove my nails. When she started with electronic sander she nicked every finger with the drill, and was pressing hard that I could feel it burning, this took an hour. In this time others were walking in and being seated with more experienced technicians and leaving whilst I still sat there. I then expressed that I didn’t want the trainee to put my nails on to be told I’d have to wait yet another 40 minutes as the female who originally started my nails before putting the trainee on me, had already gone on to another customers nails then went on to do eyebrows whilst I’m sitting here. When I then said I it wasn’t right that people were coming in after me and they had been served and left whilst I sat there with sore fingers, I was then told I was rude with this I left. I WILL never return to this place again. If anyone was rude it was the staff there, if they couldn’t do my nails in a reasonable time they should’ve said when I first went in. Read Less

T Smith, think you are a little over sensitive, sorry. Have been using this Salon for years and they do a great job proven by how busy they are. They have recently decorated and increased there product range. Mannerisms of others can sometimes be interpreted incorrectly and think this is the case here, they are all very friendly and helpful. Although the dog has now gone, sadly, he was a chihuahua and no trouble at all. Very sad for you that you interpreted the situation incorrectly, this Salon is the best in Norwich! Read Less

I have visited UK Nails a few times now and I wont go anywhere else. The end result is always very professional. The staff are friendly and its obvious that customer care and service is a top priority. The language barrier is an issue for some customers but I think all of the staff do a fantastic job in communicating to make sure they get the result you want. This salon for me is 10/10. After waiting over 30 minutes after my appintement to finally be seen, whilst having a dog constantly jumping up at everyone, leaving dog mess all over the floor and going through people's handbags. I am a real animal lover, but it's not really what you would expect from a beauty salon. Then I was thrown a colour chart (literally) from the Manager and asked what do I want. I specifically chose this salon based on it being a bit more expensive, in the hope that the service would also be of a higher standard. Unfortunately after spending £35 for a set of acrylics, I've left disappointed with the overall service and result. The Manager was shouting constantly, mainly at the dog but also at staff. Quite an uncomfortable environment. Inappropriate and rude language. Georgia inparticular was very aggressive, shouting across customers and really rude. I would have walked out only I couldn't. The Manager did not step in at any point. It was a very uncomfortable environment. Staff were quite snappy and defensive if you discussed what you would like, colour, shape etc. They snapped one nail and had to strip two others from mistakes. Overall I would rate the salon, based on customer service, service, nails, environment 1/10. I will not be returning. Read Less
