Not great customer service. I was supposed to have my hair cut today. When I arrive at 15:30 for the appointment I’m told my stylist is off ill and there’s nobody available to cut my hair. Not sure why nobody tried to contact me earlier in the day to save me the twenty mile trip there and back. I started going to Tufties a few years ago for their excellent Yuko straightening... the best straightening treatment there is!!..as a result I also went for my highlights to make sure they were ok with Yuko ... then I met the fantastic Julie who cuts my hair to perfection!!... and always gives me good advice!!.. it's an hours journey from where I live but I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!!.... Tufties self tanning spray tan booth has treated me so well in the past but I came for a tan last week and ask for "the darkest colour" and a double dip as it was to last and was also for my birthday weekend. I didn't see any colour change that night so waited it out until the morning and this was the lightest spray tan I have ever had and not what I paid £20 for. No body could tell it had been done. At short notice (me - rushing around as usual!) I called Tufties to grab an appointment, however Julie my usual stylist wasn't available, but I was slotted in yesterday, with Shelby to do the honours. She kindly took responsibility for my regular cut & colour treatment. She was a nice refreshing change of company, and as for my hair - I love it. :) :) Shelby got the style, length, shape & colours just right. I've had compliments already. Had my hair done this week with Donna at Tuffties , had amazing treatment as usual and appreciate so much how all the staff treated my daughter who is off school due after an operation , going getting her a children's magazine , juice and biscuits whilst she waited ! Nothing was too much trouble . I love my new colour and style , you got it just right , can't wait to have my hair and makeup done next Saturday for my sons 21st . I recently visited this salon to have my hair cut and coloured. Sarah was the lovely lady given the job of sorting out my previous horrible dye job and she did fantastic. I visited yesterday morning and had a highlight treatment done on my hair. Donna carried out my treatment and she was very lovely. However when I came home, I was slightly disappointed. I then rang Tufties, the lady on the phone was also lovely and respected my complaint and asked me to come again. I went back, the owner was so understanding and explained to me what was wrong. Even after explaining she insisted a full new makeover with my hair. I absolutely loved it. All the ...staff went through so much just to get my hair perfect; as I wanted. The service is phenomenal. Even the staff that didn't deal with me were very nice and always smiled. They love what they do and it's so admiring to see this lovely work environment. This place is shocking to say the least!!! booked in for hair extensions they were the worst ever thin, big step at the back and certainly not shaped in at all!!! I noticed as I was getting my fitted one girl who worked there with seriously bad extensions!! I mentioned this to the stylist and she said dont worry "your won't look like that" eh well they did look like hers!! as she probably applied them!! I looked like ozzy osborne on a bad day!! they assured me when i washed them it would magically thicken up well surprise it didn't!! finally got a refund after loads of hassle with the owner Victoria            DO NOT GO HERE!!! a sign that the stylists hair didn't look good should have been a clear sign for me to steer clear!!!! The staff were nice enough but I could not possibly recommend this place.  I explained that I only wanted a slight trim as I was growing my hair and asked for a root touch up on my highlights and lowlights.  I ended up with what can only be described as a mullet and I can honestly say that I have never seen highlights done in such a poor and haphazard way.  I am very upset and annoyed at myself for going there Read Less
