I wouldn't even give this salon a star however I had no option but to. It's a lovely building however there is no customer and client relationship therapists are too buy gossiping. Manager is rude and joins in. Clear disregard for clients as once client left. Both therapists and Nicola the owners continued gossiping about her. Treatment was rushed.. my 7 yr old could have done a better job. I would not recommend this salon at all. If yoh require your eyebrows being done the girl in the market is amazing for the fraction of price chargered here. If you want a pamper/ massage etc dunkenhouse is amazing. My mother-in-law got her nails done for her holiday and they didn't even do it down to the nail bed. They said it's meant to be like that. I know full well it isn't. So she went back to get them done again. Then 2 came off and she had to go back for them to put them back on AND she had to pay for them. She went back to get them took off and didn't even take them all off properly.. I would not recommend this place at all! AVOID!! Read Less

Very disappointed with my daughters spray tan. - She booked the Prom package and whilst all the others parts, ie nails, eyelashes are fine the spray tan is a mess. - her shoulders are blotchy and sweeping lines across her back - when we went back in today we were told "did we know it was a junior doing it?" - no we booked and paid for a full prom package. We were also told perhaps it was because it was raining yesterday, (funny that it is patches that are ruined) - the assis...tant did try to scrub some of the dark patches off with exfoliater, which has resulted in white shoulders, and still dodgy dark marks on her shoulders - so we have had to go to Boots to buy foundation and blemish sticks to try and blend it in as her prom is tonight. - No offer of refund for the very dodgy tan either - she had been happy with the tan at this shop before, but will not use again. Very disappointed with the service received at poppies. I went into poppies seeking professional advice on which bareminerals foundation would suit my skin tone. Unfortunately I didn't not find what I was looking for. I was advised to buy a shade of foundation which when applied to my whole face made me look 'yellow'. When I tried to discuss this with the manager a few days later she was unhelpful and unprepared to take any responsibility for the advice I was given and refused to try and resolve the situation. I am now left with a £25 foundation which I cannot use and I am still seeking the professional advice which I hoped to receive at poppies. Read Less

Well looked after during treatment, got offered a drink before starting treatment. Felt really relaxed while having treatment done. I have been a client at Poppies for several years and love to try out new treatments. The face and body sensation and the pro collagen face lift facial are my new best favorites. My daughter came to poppies a couple of weeks ago for a friends birthday party, from what I was told the package would include hair, makeup, nails and glitter tattoos. When I picked my daughter up her glitter tattoo had been put on upside. it was obvious it was on upside as it was a castle, which ended up looking more like a M from a monster drink rather than a princess castle. Nobody had tried to rectify her tattoo or offer another. Her nail varnish was basic and chipped and... the only signs of any makeup she had on was a little eyeshadow and I mean just eyeshadow. My daughters hair hadn't been touch, she did say that she didn't want it doing though. I believe that it £25 for each child, £25 for what? I really think that you need to rethink your prices or improve your party packages. I for one will not be holding any parties here or coming in for any treatments.
