My first visit was yesterday. Everything went great. All the techs were great we laughed and talked and my deluxe perdicure was everthing I tried the dipped polish for the first time as well. Went to the shop on 11/1/2017. First color variety is terrible for gel color. I went for a pedicure and fill in with gel. First my pedicure was not done good at all. In the process of the pedicure she put the clippings from my feet in the water with my feet still in it. I got a gel polish, but she put a plain top coat. So I asked why she didn't put a gel top coat on gel polish she said it going to cost $18 more for a gel top coat. So I asked for my total on my feet before the top coat of gel. I was at $31 for a bad pedicure with rough spots still on my feet. So I needed a fill in and I asked what will be the price of the fill with gel polish and gel top coat $62. I said no ma'am I'll pay for my feet and leave and go back to were I normally go. I only tired this place because my mother wanted to go. I said I'll never go back again. Read Less

Been In had my hair cut by my daughter who is a trainee and then a second visit to have some foils done she did a good job and all the staff are always positive and helping her really nice bunch of ppl may even start using the salon once she is qualified even if it is a bit away from mine keep it up tiffany your doin well xx Read Less

Edit: August 15: Today I received a phone call from the manager, Lee, saying if I didn't remove my review he was going to cancel my future appointment. He did not try to make the situation better. Did not apologize. Just demanded I remove my review. The only reason I kept going after poor treatment by Lee was because of the wonderful staff. I was a committed customer for 6 months, but will be taking my business elsewhere because of poor treatment by Lee. August 5: The staff i...s kind, but the manager, Lee, (who is basically the slave driver and appointment taker) is an unprofessional jerk. Not sure why they bother taking down your phone number, because they won't call you if you write down the wrong appointment time and show up a little late. I used to be a nail tech way back when and can be very critical when it comes to getting a pedicure. My criteria for a great place is 1. Cleanliness 2. Professionalism 3. How my nails look after its all said and done 4. How long my nail polish lasts on my toes while still looking presentable. Out of all the nail shops that I have tried around the Fairview Heights/O'Fallon area, Magic Nails has been the best, bar none. Yes, the manager can be a stickler for time and punctuality but that fear of not getting my pedi is what drives me to be on time for my appointments..LOL. Ask for Leon or Vincent. They are great! My first visit to the salon today after getting a last minute appointment. Went in for a Cut and Blow dry and came out a different colour too! Michael was amazing, he took time to listen to how my lifestyle was and how I needed my hair to work in with my job. I mentioned that I had considered a change of colour and we discussed various options -he advised what he thought would work to get my hair back into better condition, and would suit my skin tones. What can I say other than amazing. The team were very friendly and welcoming and so we're the other customers. I clearly looked nervous on walking in. As I hadn't been to a salon in years. Becki did my colour and my cut. And was so patient as I wasn't too sure what I wanted. It looks and feels great. Anna then did my nails. I've been going here for about 20 years and during this time I've tried other salons because they are a bit pricey. I always come back! They have excellent customer service and are very professional. They are the cleanest nail salon I've ever visited. All of their utensils are sterilized and come straight out of a package at every visit. They are definitely worth the extra $10 I pay for a pedicure. Also, you don't have to feel self conscious about them talking to one another about you while they do your nails, which means a lot to me because I have HUGE feet. Lol.
