Abosolute disaster! I wanted a feminine pixie cut. What a disaster! The hairdresser tried doing it mostly with clippers! He’s virtually razored my hair on one side and tried to leave my fringe uncut on the other - Apparently it’s ‘edgy’? I’m nearly 48, I did edgy when he was in nappies! I told him at least twice that I hated that razored on one side, floppy fringe on the other look ... I did agree to him using the longest clippers, but he said he was going to style it i...n afterwards, which he did very little of. When he’d been using the clippers on my hair for 10-15 minutes, I told him he was making me nervous. He got really short with me and it made me feel anxious, so I didn’t say anymore ... After almost 2 hours in the chair, his next client had been left waiting for some time and he said that he needed to put her colour on, that I might need to come in for a second cut and that it takes time to get to know someone’s hair. She could see I was upset and that he was flapping, it was written all over her face. By that point, it was all too obvious, all too late (because my hair had been butchered by then), that he was clearly out of his depth and clearly getting fed up. Whilst he was doing the cut, he kept getting distracted and walking away - making tea, answering the phone, seeing to the sun beds, etc. I got him to tidy up my fringe as best I could, but it’s still an awful mess - too short and sticking up on one side and flopping around on the other with long bits at the back that haven’t come close to being blended in. The back of the top part hasn’t been properly blended in to the bottom cropped part, which is patchy in places. I feel almost bald. I’m so upset. I’ve got a disgusting, bodged up, unfinished hairstyle for Easter - I just wanted to get some nice photos with my first granddaughter during her first Easter. This mess will take several months, at the very least, of decent hairdressing to rectify the damage done. He didn’t even attempt to blow dry what was left, or style it - He was just in too much of a rush! I had to ask him to tidy up the bottom, because it looked like it’s been hacked ... Well, it had really! It was only towards the end of the cut, I learnt that the hairdresser was still unqualified, not newly qualified - This is all well and good, everyone needs to train, I can respect that ... BUT, if you’re not yet up to the job, be honest enough to say, rather than completely messing up someone’s hair; especially such a short style where the damage can’t be disguised with styling or put up ... I don’t know what I can do to make good this terrible mess until it can be better styled by someone who knows what they’re doing? ... See More Read Less
