DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS SALON! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
No business has ever made me feel this way, I am not a person that usually writes comments, but I feel like I have to do it for this one. This is how bad it was.
I have been going to this salon since the first time I had come to Canterbury. The people working there do clearly not know what customer service is, however, as no one was directly rude to me I would just go to get the job done.
This last time was just too much. What I understant is that when you ask to get something different done they are not happy, by different I mean just a simple french manicure (there is no salon that I know that do not know how to do a french manicure or find it difficult).
I had kindly asked ONCE, I did not even force it on him. The worker got annoyed and rudely said NO! I did not understant what was the problem and why he got annoyed at me. Then, he said that a french manicure would cost me 40£, then 37£, (he was not even sure of his prices), I have a feeling that he said an "expensive" price so I would not choose to do the french manicure.
Anyway I had told him that I will just choose a simple colour not to annoy him even more(the ones they are used to).
Then that guy told something in his language to person nr2 who took on the work. Person nr 2 roughly handled my nails, when I asked him to shape my nail, he refused and told me that it will hurt me (worst excuse ever)!
Then he asked me to do the work! (at that point I could not believe what was happening), I had to show him myself, he was sarcastically sitting there ( :O), that is when i told him this is not what I am paying for I am sorry, and that I only want him to remove what was on my nails, to which he even asked me to pay 10£. Then he asked me if it was the first time I came to this salon.
1. It was not the first time (probably the 5th-6th time), so it is very rude that he acts like he doesn t remember me.
2. Even though it was the first time, do they only look well after customers that come regularly and not the first time?
Then said something to his friend in his language indicating me with his head to his friend, and his friend was looking at me laughing. Note that I did not understand what language they were speaking but I could clearly see that they were talking about me in a negative way. Please imagine how I felt at that moment.
They must stop talking in their languages! It is known social rules in Europe not to speak in a language that the person next to you does not speak.
I still do not understand what I asked wrong. I felt oppressed, forced to choose something I did not want, and bullied because I did not want to continue with his service anymore. Read Less
