I recently came here for an acrylic refill with shellac. This was hands down the best place I have ever come for nails. I always visit the Bedford Place branch as it's so close to home and I have to say I can't believe it's taken me this long for me to write a review. I love this place. Nazea has done a great job with the place especially with the staff members she's hired. They're all so welcoming and I've gotten to know them. Brooke and Tina especially always give me good treatment and beauty advice and Brooke does an amazing job with my nails. The threading job is always top with Tina. I highly recommend this place! My first shellac here wasn’t great to be honest but they have gone out of their way to put it right for me which I really appreciate. Today I had a full set of acrylics with the rockstar glitter on top and my nails are perfect, I’m really happy with them now. I have just got home after having to drive home from the Bedford place branch with one contact lense in (so Had to drive with one eye shut) after having to go back to get my nails redone because I had a set of nails that started to fall off after just 6 days I also had pre booked a eye lash lift. They did do a test patch the week before but that was it. I wasn’t given any advise or leaflet about what was involved and having never had it done before I only assumed there was ...nothing I needed to know. 15 mins into the treatment I mentioned I had contact lenses in. I was then told I had to take them out! I wear daily disposables and had no spares. I asked if they had any solution and they didn’t so I then had to run in the cold mid- treatment to the chemist and then the options on a hunt for some solution so I could take them out and put them back in. I asked the lady’s why I wasn’t I asked if I wore contact lenses and they said hey assumed I knew.... why would I know this?! Iv never had it done before. Anyway when it came to pay the receptionist/Manager was more concerned about the fact I had to have a new set of nails because the first set had all fallen off. I didn’t get an apology for the fact I have been walking around for 5 days with nails falling off (only 5 left on after less than 2 weeks. And when I gave my feedback about the lack of information provided about the lash lift and advised them that they should tell people when they book won’t be able to wear their lenses and should bring glasses and or spare lenses she wasn’t really interested. My overall impression of the place is that the poor girls are run ragged and all that really matters is making money. Poor customer service and complete lack of empathy. Safe to say I won’t be back. Shame as Valentina who did my replacement nails was very lovely and very good. In fact all the girls who are there were very nice but I jusy felt like they had an excuses for everything i was made to feel like it was my fault and they were not going to take responsibility for anything. The manager certainly didn’t care if I got home safe driving with one lense in. Oh and I was charged full price despite having to run around in -1 degree weather to find some contact lense solution! if you charge top rates (£50 nail extentions) you expect Top service and top results. Visited the Botley salon this morning to have a mini manicure and shellac. I was greated by Kate, who is a star, not only is she warm and welcoming she is very personable. I had my 7 month old son who was fussing and without hesitating she came to the rescue. Sim looked after my nails and did a fantastic job on them, she was friendly and very professional. Both Me and my daughter get our eyebrows threaded at eastern arts Botley, we have always found the girls go the extra mile to make sure we are happy with the shape . They are always so welcoming its nice just to park out side and pop in I have never had a problem getting an appointment that suits me, on occasions going past I have just popped in on the spur of the moment I might have had to wait a bit understandably but they get around to me. I would highly recommend a vist to any of their Branches, I used to use the one in Southampton until the one in Botley opend. Read Less

Unfortunately a terrible experience in this salon. Staff terribly rude and the salon smelt so strongly of BO it made me feel ill. I was made to feel extremely unwelcome and the person next to me had the wrong appointment despite confirming 3 times. Would've given 1* but the shellac was quite good despite it being expensive.
