I've just had my second appointment at Bella Spa and I am beyond impressed with this salon and it's friendly, knowledgeable and super talented staff. I went for sculpted nails at my first appointment on the advice of one of the staff and was delighted with the results. They come with a promise that if you have them removed by Bella Spa, they can guarantee no damage to your nails. I thought there was no way my brittle nails would survive unscathed but that's the risk you take with acrylic. Today, the girls used a special technique to remove the nails (though I must say, they were still in pristine condition more than 2 weeks later - I only removed them as I horse ride and the length/feel of fake nails didn't work for me when riding) and I was blown away by the results. Not only were my nails undamaged but I would go so far as to say they were stronger than before. I don't think my nails have ever been so long AND strong. The other great benefit was I popped in on my lunch break and from stepping foot in the salon for removal and then having cuticles trimmed and fresh gel polish on, took just 55 minutes. Went in for a 5* Acrylic Sculpting and I am absolutely in love with my nails, from shape to colour. They are perfect and above standard of any other salon in Manchester. The staff was very friendly and professional, and they did everthing as I wished it, so I am 100% satisfied. The prices are relatively cheap, seen how great their work is. Went in a week ago, and got a gel manicure. I felt very rushed. An hour after leaving, a corner started peeling away so I rang the spa and went back right away to get the nail redone, free of charge. I was quite satisfied with how that was dealt with! However today, 8 days later, three nails peeled away by themselves. Extra care was always taken (ie wearing washing up gloves). I went to Bella Spa for the first time about a week ago and I can easily say these are the best nails I've ever had done. Whether you want a more traditional style or something trendy, they know how to do it and they are consistently checking that you are happy with the shape, thickness and colour. I went in with a photo from Instagram (matte lilac stiletto nails) and they achieved the exact look I wanted easily. They are also extremely knowledgable around nail care and hygiene, which reassured me even further (not that I needed to be)! Nice finish on the polish but the least relaxing pedicure. No music in the salon and the footrest was wobbly, not cushioned and so uncomfortable. The massage was rubbish and she was so rough in getting the hard skin (when mines not even that hard, dread to think if it was?). Not relaxing at all. A pedi should be a treat and this was not. I was worried at the start because my nails were very thin & damaged from acrylic extensions in the past. However, sculpting is so much better! I have been visiting Bella Spa for several years and always had great treat(ment)s all the girls are really friendly and go out of their way to be able to do what you would like. Diane even offered to open early/late once so I could have my nails tidied up for an interview, when I couldn't make it she arranged for someone to come in especially to do them - thank you! The advice has been great - I did bite my nails so whenever I went in I had to have acrylic - they were so good that this time they stayed on for 6 weeks and now I have my own nails that I will (hopefully) never want to bite again ... thank you Bella Spa! I went there with my daughter yesterday. Mothers day treat from my daughter -a lovely facial from a lady there for me .very relaxing and soothing. My daughter had acrylic nails with a kind of French Polish look but black instead of white. Kind of terrible. The place advertises itself as a high end spa which it certainly is not. There is no ventilation and you are greeted with strong odours of acetone and chemicals when you walk in. I went on a Tuesday evening and there were no other customers. I was horrified to hear a baby in the other room- clearly they are not concerned about the toxic effects of the business. I was told by the girls that they use natural ingredients and products only...urm theres nothing natural in gel nail color. Highly ill informed and self promoting hogwash. I asked if they could open a window and they didn't.  I should have walked out there and then. Considering the prices, their attention to detail is seriously lacking and they are not open to criticism. For example when I pointed out that there were bubbles in the nail colour or that there was a bulge in the coat I was told that the problem was with my nails. When I cried out at the roughness of the nail filing (large grit and unrefined emory board) I was told that the manicure would not look good because I am too sensitive. For a 29 pound manicure there was no soaking, proper cuticle care, or attention to detail as one would expect. It was a rushed unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this place if you are expecting to be pampered. The girls aren't bad but at least twice during the mani pedi I was told that they get excellent reviews because their salon only does the best! My favourite place to get my nails done, they always seem to last ages and I get my money's worth every time. I was first introduced to Bella Spa a few years ago by a friend who regularly gets her nails done here. I used to get my nails done regularly too but at present I tend to go when I have a special occasion. I prefer Gellish to Shellac as in my opinion they tend to last longer. They always have a wonderful selection of colours to choose from. Angela and her staff are fantastic, I thoroughly enjoy my visits. You can even take your own bubbly with you and they'll provide you with glasses!The location is perfect, just behind Primark so it's very central. The building doesn't look like a spa from the outside but once you get inside that changes immediately. It's appointment only so make sure you ring before you go. Read Less

Me and Esther H treated ourselves to gel nails for our birthday's a few weeks ago. The ladies were really lovely and made us feel right at home, although we did feel a little rushed in making our colour decision! The shop is in a little bit of an unexpected location, upstairs in what looks like an office block, although looks like a spa once you get through their doors! Only 3 stars from me as within a week a few nails had chipped and within two weeks some already peeled off - for £30 I'd expect better wear & tear, as I'm used to paying £20 and they last at least three weeks. They had said if I got any chips within the first week to head back but unfortunately I was away on holiday so couldn't. I'd still recommend this place and would head back again to give them another shot! Read Less
