Have just returned from a day of treats at Unique Beauty, having been treated to some vouchers for my birthday. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my day and all of my treatments - which included a facial, manicure, pedicure and full body massage. All were wonderful. The staff are pleasant, and were quick to offer me a cup of tea or glass of water on arrival. I found them friendly and chatty at the right times, as well as quiet during my treatments - perfect for relaxing and drifting away! All in all, a great day! I visited here a couple of weeks ago just before going on holiday. This salon was recommended to me by several family members that use it and I could not fault anything at all. I arrived early for my appointment and was seen to nearly straight away, I was pleased with how my treatments went and even asked to add on another one at the end - this did not seem to be a problem! I have been a customer of the salon for many years now and have found the salon to be a friendly and inviting place. The girls always greet with a smile and I find the prices to be fair and competitive. I am always offered refreshments and thoroughly enjoy my visits. I have been recommended the MD formulations skin treatments which I have just started using and my skin has never looked better. I've been to this salon on several occasions, and I have been short-changed on time every time. They're very good at keeping you waiting, yet not making up time at the end. I booked two consecutive treatments recently, was kept waiting while they 'got the room ready' - then several 'long' minutes while I 'got ready'. I don't know how long they think it takes to strip up and climb up on a massage bed, but I was left far too long. The therapist then spent another few minutes selling me the benefits of the products they sold in reception, The facials I've had left sticky 'mask' residue around my nose. The therapist finished early (which I only realised when I got back to my car and saw the clock) so I felt cheated out of about 15 minutes. Basically, I didn't feel I got my money's worth. The reception staff aren't particularly chatty or friendly to clients, either. The salon seems to get a lot of passing trade, possibly from being positioned opposite Purley station. As someone who has been there several times, I would prefer better – and fairer – treatment. Especially for the prices they charge. Read Less
