So I have been a regular for over a year getting my nails done so am very familiar with the staff. Booked a birthday treat spa with my sister for the full day. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive, led upstairs and given a lovely soft dressing gown and slippers and tucked into pastries and tea . Each treatment was fab I was very nervous of the hot stone massage but it was so soothing can’t wait to try it again. Lunch was filling and on point . Today me and my friend went for a spa break here, and you can’t fault the place. It’s not a traditional spa break, you have your own homely room to relax in, eat delicious food in and sample one of the many teas they serve. The treatments were lovely really relaxing, and professional. Beauty Products all made on site using natural ingredients which made my skin feel great. But the best parts of the day was how out of the way all of the staff went to make you feel comfortable, they were so polite, friendly and helpful and made us both feel amazing! Just like the reviews before me, I had an absolutely amazing experience. I came for a back massage after having back pain for a couple of weeks. With a single treatment literally all of it is gone. I've had this problem many times before but no one has ever removed it in a single session. In this place, the massage room is at perfect temperature, I've been to places before where it was cold. My best friend suggested I try Y.Wait and I was expecting a normal and basic beauty experience but it was far beyond my expectations. I won't go anywhere else from now on because it was so much more than just a manicure and a wax. The staff are not just brilliant at what they do but kind, happy, and friendly. The salon is quirky, cosy, and crazy comfy (I'd come back just to hang out and have a pot of herbal tea and a chat), and the before and after customer care was top class. In every way I was made to feel comfortable, confident, and very special. (And my gel manicure lasted longer than any other one I've ever had plus they squeezed me in at last minute on a weekend without batting an eye lid even though I know they had to do a bit of their own break time juggling.) visited the salon today to treat myself and my mum. we were greeted on arrival. seated and given complimentary tea which was lovely. there were many choices of flavours for the tea which was great. the cinnamon one was delicious. i then had a back massage by kerry anne. she was absolutely amazing. she made me feel very comfortable and really focused on my troubled areas. i felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders once she was finished. she was absolutely fantastic. my mother had a wet pedicure which was also amazing. i will definitely be visiting again. a 5 star from me x Read Less

I felt compelled to write a review after a pretty shoddy shellac manicure! It was my bd and I decided to try somewhere different to my usual place, especially as they could do rose quartz marbelling. Perfect! So I went to Ywait after reading good reviews, and ironically waited 15 minutes! Ha! Anyway, the lady was very sweet, but the nails looked awful! My cuticals were pushed back dry, no soak or even a splash of cuticle remover - ouch! Then they were just left messy! The paint job itself looked like I had done it myself in a rush, I'm really not exaggerating and wish I could post the photo. I was actually a little embarrassed! It's a pretty small shop and I felt bad to bring it up there as there were 2 other customers in there. This happened on Tuesday and on Saturday I peeled them off so wonderfully, no scraping! People seem to rave about the customer service - it was ok, seems if you are regular you'll get a lovely pot of loose leaf tea or coffee, if you are not a regular, you will get nothing. I hadn't been to Wood St for about 20 years and when my friend suggested a facial on Wood Street I was pretty skeptical. There was nothing to worry about-this salon is a little gem (and what a difference 20 years has made to Wood Street!). Relaxed, caring and fun atmosphere. I keep coming back for massages and facials - they make me feel spectacular and are expertly done. I'm so glad I live near here, but would encourage others to travel for their friendly and professional services.
