The decor is gawjus and staff are lovely.. However my nail extentions were done very poorly by a woman who spoke almost no english. After she 'shaped' and buffed my nails (which looked nothing like i asked) she painted over them without asking me to wash my hands first (which she should have done seeing as my nails were covered in dust from filing).. My nails look awful. I was charged £30 for a set of nails that i now need to have removed and re done elsewhere as she has left me looking awful. Seriously i have one nail pointing up to the ceiling. Go for the natural treatments.. Avoid extentions at all cost!! Im so disappointed as i havent had the chance to have my nails done in a year because i get very little time to myself. I came in this morning for a birthday pamper - and spent a blissful two hours in this gorgeous salon! I'm extremely fussy and it was my first time so I expected to get stressed out along the way - but no, it was a real treat from start to finish. And the end result was perfect! (Just wish I'd gone for sparkle on my toes!!) I can definitely recommend this little haven in the middle of Purley - oh, and do ask for a glass of Pinot Grigot Rose! Apparently it's never too early!! Lovely salon absolutely gorgeous, nice staff , no introduction though. Eyelash extentions not as expected showed the therapist picture of what I wanted she said that's fine. But they are so short to what I wanted. I have had them much longer before really dissappionted, but they kindly redid it but length lovely but could have done with more lashes. Not even 1 week after having redo and half the lashes on my left eye have fallen out! Not good! But their nails are amazing Sylv...ia did a fantastic job on my really bad nails and the nail bar is fab with virtually any drink you could ask for . My only criticism is the therapist should introduce themselves or wear name badgesI have since have my nails done by various technicians some good others bad . Last visit nails like paper thin split in the next hour they admitted they were awful but could not put them right cause fully booked so will I return? Sylvia came to the rescue with a cancellation, thank you Sylvia x .last 3 visits I have had to put my nails right eg filing glueing cutting etc myself so going in for consultation to see if they can do my nails properly. I spoke to the owner who said to come in and someone will look at them. When I arrived no one knew anything about it. Very very happy with overall experience. I came in this morning at 10am for acrylic soak off and gel overlays and I am very impressed. I had a bad experience last week with some acrylics which we're done not at all well and came off within 4 days. One of the girls who done my gel s was very professional and has a lot of experience best manicure ever, she filed my nails into a lovely shape and used a hot pink gel which is lovely for the summer! I regularly visit The Lounge in Purley and I have to say I wouldn't go anywhere else now (well unless they're fully booked and I'm in sheer desperation) I always ask for Sophie because she knows exactly how I like my nails done!
