First let me say that my experience of nail spas is pretty limited so I cannot really make comparisons to other salons just review my experience here. The salon windows have been treated so that the glass is clear from the inside looking out but appears opaque from the street side, this is a nice touch allowing clients to relax in privacy during their treatment. The salon has full air conditioning, a w.c and a separate treatment room for waxing and facial treatments offered for brows, tinting etc. On entering the spa there is a small reception desk and a clear list displaying the available treatments and costs. There is a seating area opposite large enough for a couple of clients to sit whilst waiting. Clients are greeted by a lovely lady called Vanessa who will advise on treatments if you are a newbie, invite you to choose your preferred nail polish if required and settle you with one of the nail technicians for hands or lead you to the rear of the shop where there are two pedicure stations both of which are equipped with super comfy chairs that will massage you whilst you are having your feet treated - absolute bliss and it helps take your mind off the tickly bits of your pedicure. A full set of acrylic tips and shellac takes about 50 minutes and costs £35. They also offer a loyalty card which is signed at the end of each visit and this allows you a 20% discount off your 6th treatment, so its worth saving that one for an expensive treatment - say pre holiday manicure, pedi and waxing maybe? The nail technicians are mostly male and as they wear masks there isn't much chatting but Vanessa remembers her clients and will always have a quick chat no matter how busy the salon is, she has the skill that makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Most trade is just walk in but you can book an appointment to suit, open from 10 a.m til 7 p.m monday to friday, 10 til 6 Saturdays - closed on Sunday. I have had tips and shellac on my hands, pedis with and without polish, eyebrow shaping and tinting and have been pleased with all the results. Finally even though the salon is on a busy red route there is plenty of free parking in the slip roads either side, you can have 40 minutes free in Sainsbury's or its 20p for 20 minutes in the Hook library car park opposite, the only draw back is for people with severe mobility issues.
