Can't recommend sutherlands enough! We were let down last minute by the place we had a booked paid a deposit for at 8am this morning. We have travelled up from Glasgow for our cousins wedding. They took four of us for hair up and make up. If they hadn't managed to book is I don't know what we would have done and the day for the wedding would have been ruined. Every single member of staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Such an amazing and professional job done. Booked an appointment on Saturday morning, arrived 15mins early, reception staff were very polite and making sure I felt welcome. I was taken straight away, my hair dresser was Tracy who has never cut my hair before, and my hair is a massive challenge to anyone. Tracy sat and talked to me, asked questions of what I would like, she gave me advice was not telling me what to have. Tracy was fantastic, very polite, talkative and gave a fantastic cut. Was in on Monday to get a colour and blow dry. Was in dundee today with the kids and got chatting to a lady on the bucket trail. She loved the colour and style of my hair so much that she took some photos. Hope she calls you to make an appointment as she was asking the name of the salon and who had done it. My experience of waxing here was very poor, felt they didn't have a clue what they were doing. Paid £30 for a Brazilian and what I got was a very poor and untidy wax of my bikini line. Was too embarassed to say anything and didn't want the woman going near me with any more wax. Read Less

My mother and sister both use this hairdresser and will not go any place else. What they do not know about hair is not worth knowing. Bruce is an expert at cutting closely followed by his daughter, Jo. For colour go no further than Amanda, as she gives honest advice and her skills are second to none. The ambience of the salon is very comfortable and the customer is treated with respect and made to feel very welcome. They travel from Brechin which is testimony of their love and trust of the place.Read Less

I have been getting my hair cut by Joanna here for several years now, and can say that she is the best hairdresser in every way - her attention to detail is second to none and her skill with the scissors leaves my hair looking good for weeks (no mean feat as there's not much of it!)
