Came in today for a cut and blowdry from Ruby and I absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. She is such a lovely girl who is very welcoming and friendly. Loved the extra’s i.e heated eyemask whilst getting my hair washed, my hair conditioning treatment and the head and shoulder massage before my hair got cut. Used to love getting my hair done by the same stylist for years. Until I asked for a perm similar to the GHD curl effect in September. Apparently it is not possible to get this effect from a perm. At no point was I told this. The stylist even asked the owner to source larger curlers. I was left with a mixture of frizz and wave that is neither one thing or another. I went back in the next day as the sides had gone straight and they we redone 3 weeks later. They went straight again and I wrote a letter of complaint to the owner as it was nothing like I wanted and there was never any hope of it being remotely like I wanted. It took 2 weeks to get a response (from a receptionist!) offering me a complimentary cut and conditioning treatment. As I'd had my hair cut elsewhere by then and was going on holiday I said I would contact them when I got back. I went into the salon Mid-december to try to arrange to speak to the owner, left my number and what it was concerning and haven't heard a word since! Meanwhile, I've had to walk around with hair that you couldn't even call a style and have incurred further expense by having to buy a styling wand so I can try to make myself presentable to leave the house. I came into the salon today with an idea in mind and thanks to Sarah it became a reality. I received such excellent service and I am honestly 100% happy with not only my hair but the lovely employees especially Sarah! Sarah was so kind and explained everything she was doing, she sat down with me and we talked over my ideas and she gave me some ideas of her own which I decided to take on and I loved the end result! Huge thanks to Natalie for a great hair makeover today. She was set quite a challenge when I arrived and I left very happy, 10 years younger and it was a huge boost! Nothing was too much trouble for Natalie , even though my hair was refusing to take on the hair colour (poss due to meds I was on) she persevered till she found a colour product to work on me and made every effort to ensure I left the salon very happy. After not being at a hairdressers in a long time & finding that after i'd go get my hair cut nicely i'd be unable to maintain it myself. Well i am today so happy with my overall experience i have received from this salon on Saturday, in particular my great stylist Nicola. She took me through a hairdressing experience i have never had before and was so amazing. From the minute i sat down in the chair to the gorgeous end result. Nicola used products on my hair that has left i...t feeling like it has never been before and such a great cut & style. Was really dreading washing my hair and styling it myself this morning as i normally just tie it up after i wash it but my hair was so easy to style, so soft, so smooth, nothing like ive been able to manage before and i believe this is all down to the products nicola recommended and used on my hair. Had my eyebrows waxed here for the first time, saw my eyebrows in a mirror very quickly and my eyes were still puffy so could barely see. Aftee ten mins, when I got into the car I looked in the mirror to find two large gashes on my face around my eyebrows.. the skin had come away and would explain why it nipped a lot after the lady had finished. I expected pain during waxing but I didnt realise that she had torn some of the skin away. I payed the money and swore never to go back. I feel very self concious about the red gashes on my face and feel less beautiful and more paper bag over my head will do. Just my experience Read Less

Booked a hair up for a wedding. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Styled my hair before I went to give the stylist an idea of what I wanted. Expained I wanted a lot of volume and my hair styled around my facinator so that the band was hidden. The stylist was really friendly and chatty but seemed nervous and unfortuately didnt seemed to understand exactly what I wanted even after explaining three times. I left with no volume in my hair and the band visible. It was such a shame because I had such high expectations on arrival and had read fantastic reviews.
