Today was my second time going to this nail salon. The first time I went was excellent. The woman who did my nails took her time and gave me exactly what I asked for. The service was so good and they had so many colors that I couldn't wait to go get them done again. Today my nail technician seemed like she was in a major hurry (even though I was the only one in there) and didn't listen to what I wanted. I told her I wanted a square nails and she made them round. I told her to... just cut them off because I didn't like that shape. Now they are basically down to the nub when they were quite long before. The gel was also uneven on a few nails so I asked her to fix it and she seemed annoyed and blamed it on how I had my hands in the dryer. She even left space between my cuticles and where she started the gel so it looks like I already have new growth. When I got out to the car I noticed that my nails are jagged and there is gel at the tips of almost all my fingers and around the edges. Very disappointed that the technician would allow me to walk out with my nails looking like this. I felt too uncomfortable to go back in and ask her to fix it after how awkward our whole interaction was. I will say though that everyone else in the salon was very friendly and attentive. Southlake has four new Nail/Spa Salons, which I've now experienced all four! Three were total crap, in customer service, technique and total lack of accountability to say the least! Today was an amazing treat ... Absolutely - the most fabulous mani/pedi I've ever had in my life! The fresh aloe and oranges ... Can't say enough about the sensation and the way my skin feels! The staff was amazing and so personable! They use a product called nu skin- 100% organic NO chemicals ... Just like no other Mani/Pedi! Slightly more expensive, but so worth it!!! Wow, I can not say enough about how awesome this spa is!! I can't get enough of the fantastic services they offer! They use high quality products that you don't typically get in nail salons. I have had 2 pedicures and they really have made a difference in how my feet look and feel! Over a week ago I got my nails "dipped" in color that looks like gel nails but was much faster than getting gel nails and they still look beautiful! Jenny, their make-up artist, did permanent make...-up for me and I have gotten so many compliments from my friends on how good I look but they don't know what is different! That's how natural it looks! Jenny did my eyebrows, eyeliner and lips and I am thrilled with the results!
