I’ve had such a range of treatments at The Spa over the last 4/5 years, I especially love the Detox body wrap with scrub, it’s unreal for for the price. I booked a range of treatments for a couple of ladies as part of my hen do before getting married. I paid for all of this in advance which amounted to a lot of money. My mother in law was booked in to get eyelash extensions - we arrived the day before as instructed for a patch test to be done for her. The therapist placed the glue on her eyelid so the therapist had clearly seen her eyelashes during this time. This was all fine so we arrived the next day for my mother in law t...o receive the treatment. The therapist took her to the treatment room and looked at her eyelashes and told her that she would be unable to do the treatment as her lashes were too sparse. 1. Why didn't she tell us this the day before when she saw her eyelashes and 2. naturally we were disappointment by this as we were quite excited for this treatment. My mother in law enquired with the therapist whether I would be able to receive a refund as the therapist refused the treatment due to her not being able to do the treatment rather than us deciding we didn't want the treatment or changing our minds or cancelling. I was then told the refund wouldn't be possible as the owner had refused. The therapist told us that she would talk to the owner about this and give me a ring back but I have not received such a phone call. This has given us a bad customer service experience of the Spa, especially as I paid in advance an awful lot of money for all of the treatments together. Furthermore, my sister who came with us the day before this eyelash experience had a back, neck and shoulder massage and told us after the treatment that the therapist was clearly on her phone during the treatment and kept moving the phone around on the massage table as the treatment was ongoing. This is also not acceptable. Naturally I'm very disappointed as I've been to the Spa a couple of times before and have had good experiences, but for this to happen for my hen do was disappointing to say the least! Had lash extensions for my wedding- one eye was scratched during application. Spent weekend & wedding day with red swollen eye. When I contacted them on the Monday to get them removed, got a disappointing response- "Oh it's not happened before." Not especially helpful for me when had had such an impact on our wedding day- and photos. Read Less
