I've been to Shwe Tan for other stuff in the past but today I used their sunbed for the first time and wasn't disappointed. The room and sunbed was clean, the bed itself was nice and hot and I noticed the colour difference pretty much straight away - I do also use a tan enhancer cream. I then went over to the new salon to have my nails done with Meghan. What a lovely lady, really friendly and kept the conversation going. There hasn't been any time where I've been met with bad customer service. Everyone has always been really nice and helpful. Even though the new salon isn't finished yet it is looking good already. I attended Shwe tan today for a bikini wax with Becca. I was slightly apprehensive due to not having this type of wax for sometime and also being pregnant. I was made to feel really relaxed and reassured. The treatment flew by as a result of Becca’s great waxing skills. We also had a really good chat throughout, which also helped to settle my nerves.A big thank you to the young lady on reception. I'm new to Shwe Tan but have followed my therapist Sophie over from her previous salon. As usual I had excellent service from Sophie with my treatments last week. Friday I had Rock Star nails treatment with Charlie which I am very pleased with and look forward to retuning again soon. Rescheduled my appointment less than an hour before my appointment time because they’d double booked, thank god I wasn’t doing anything that day. Staff were helpful and informative but not overly friendly or talkative. 5 days in and my gels have chipped (I don’t work with my hands) and then today I did the washing up and the whole gel peeled off of one nail (8 days after the appointment).Read Less

On Thursday night I had a spray tan with Lynsey ready for my night out tonight .. I can safely say it’s the best tan I’ve had.. I normally end up patchy but not one patch in sight I am so pleased.. also Lynsey was so nice.. I started coming here recently, I usually use a place closer to home but found the staff were too busy chatting with regulars to serve me! You don't get that here, the staff acknowledge you straight away even if they are in the middle of something and they are always friendly. I regularly use the sunbeds at Shwe Tan as I find them to be the best in the area. The girls are always so attentive and friendly especially Chloe. The sunbeds them selves are always clean to a high standard. The online booking system makes the process of going for a sunbed more efficient and quick as there a no long periods of time you could be waiting. I have used the Sun Angel and the standup sunbed several times and only after a couple of sessions I have a lovely healthy glow. I choose the Sun Angel because there is a claim that you get a good tan without burning. My first visit was uneventful. On my second visit the client before me use a "tingle" lotion. I was told it may cause me some redness even though the machine was cleaned. I was left with severe burning on my lower legs, with large red areas. It lasted for hours. I was told not to shower. It was extremely painful and worrying. This was a booked appointment, I didn't just show up. I feel that the safety and sanitary practises at this tanning salon are at a minimum questionable.
