I was very upset with what happened when I went in yesterday. There was a group appointment earlier than mine that ran late which I was fine with. The lady that did my nails repeatedly got on to the receptionist in front of the salon, then when she did my full set of acrylic she did it in 20 minutes, and it was very sloppy. My nails are uneven and there was nail glue and acrylic all over my skin. It was very rushed and unprofessional Read Less

Service was a little pricey but still okay considering that was a sunday and the location is good. I had a dip manicure ($50) and simple not gel ordinary nail polish pedicure ($30). I tipped $10 to the technician and when I went to check out the recepcionist said that I owed extra $5 because my nails were done β€œround” shape! Really? Nobody told me about that... I ended up paying $100 for a mani/pedi... and they limit you to 1 single drink if you want to enjoy some wine while having your nails done even if you stay there for over 2 hours and pay a lot of money for the service... I am very disappointed in what happened at Elife today. I came in at 330 for a manicure/gel nail. During the manicure, I decided to get the dip. As we transitioned into the dip, another custom walked in. At this time it was 340. The custom had an appointment at 4 with the tech I had. I had Lily, and she has brilliant talent when it comes to nails. The owners began a conversation out loud in front us. The owners told Lily that the appointment did not want to wait and expected ...Lily to drop my dip and move to the appointment. Lily explained to the other customer and the owners that she will have to wait until she finished with me. The other customer said I will be back in 45 minutes. However that angered the owners and they disrespectfully spoke to Lily in front of me. They said "Lily do not do that ever again!" How they spoke to her not only embarrassed her but made me feel less valued as a customer. When it came time to check out and pay, we confronted the owners about what we heard and witnessed. We told them that Lily is wonderful and didn't deserve to be spoken to like that. We also said that their comment made us feel less valued as customers. The owners began to argue with us. They basically said that they value and "honor" appointments more so than walk ins. I was so appalled by the way the owners spoke to me and had no understanding of my feelings. A few months ago I was leaving work late and in desperate need of a manicure. Most of the salons that I usually frequented were closing soon so after doing a quick search, I discovered Elife at the Avenue was open until 8pm. I am so glad that I discovered this salon because after my 1st visit, I have not stepped foot into another salon since. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and the owners, Jen and Bolo, really care about the experience they provide their customers. You don't want for anything while you are there and several times I have been finishing up my appointment around closing time, and they are still there working hard taking care of people regardless of it being past their closing time. My boyfriend and I love this place and always have a ball when we visit so we're customers for life! Read Less

I had driven by several times and by the appearance from the outside I felt this was an expensive, high-end salon that I couldn't afford. I finally decided to try it and it is HIGH-END and gorgeous on the inside, but the prices are competitive to other nail salons around town. The owner (male) did my nails since I ask for pink/white acrylic and he goes above and beyond. His job was gorgeous and he pushed my cuticles down before application and after made sure my cuticles were trimmed and dead skin gone around my fingers. Also, he uses such high-end acrylic powder that it smells like cotton candy!!! Very impressed! Will go back! P.S. The complimentary Peach Mimosa was delicious! The drink list is extensive too. I love the mimosa, the comfy chairs, that you get to choose your sugar scrub, the hot stones etc. I never feel rushed and it's always a great experience.

They are good at taking reservations but not at keeping them. I booked a pedicure for myself and 2 friends 2 days in advance. They had a little girls birthday party going on at the same time and did not have enough staff. We were left waiting for at least 30 minutes with our feet in the water. Once they got to us everything was very rushed. I won't be back. Poor planning on their part. Read Less

I am very disappointed in this salon. I had been coming here for a few months and I was given a 20% off coupon. I called on Saturday to make an appointment before my coupon expired - I was told they were not taking any appointments on Saturday because they were booked solid and very busy. I tried to make an appointment on Sunday but then they told me they were closed. I asked if they would still honor my coupon if I came Monday since they were not able to get me an appointmen...t. I was told this would not be a problem and they would let management know. I called first thing Monday to make an appointment and I asked again if they would honor my coupon and I was told no problem and they would let everyone know. When it came time to pay the person waiting on me said could not accept coupon since it had expired yesterday. I explained what I was told by their employee but they would not budge. Then the owner finally comes to front and would not honor the coupon either saying his prices are reasonable and the best around and then went on to say he doesn't have to honor the coupons because they are a courtesy. I never heard of such a thing. This is very misleading and very poor customer service. Had I not called in advance and asked about the coupon I could understand but since both times the salon employees told me it would be ok and they would honor it I felt it was the right thing to do. The owner should honor what his employees promise. I spent over $80.00 and do this about every two weeks so they were willing to loose a customer over honoring a 20% coupon? That is poor customer service and poor business in my opinion. If that is they way they are going to treat their customers I will not be back nor will I recommend this salon to my friends. I've been here three times. The first time they put the wrong coating on top of my nails and they smeared before I got home. Had to take it off immediately. They gave me a coupon for a free pedi. The second trip was fine. The last trip on new years eve was not great. The customer service was not good. The water was cold for the pedicure and it was rushed. I asked to wait for my friend to finish her pedi before starting my manicure so we could continue our conversation.... He said no, because they were too busy, yet only three people were getting pedicures and maybe even less getting manicures. I wish had just said never mind on the manicure because it was also rushed. I think they were understaffed that day and not really that busy. They gave me a 20% off for next visit which indicates to me they were aware the service was not great, but I will not be using it because I will not be going back. My experience was awful, I was 'conned' and bribed into spending Β£10 more for gels because apparently they would last longer when I have never had a problem with Normal nail polish but I felt pressured into having the gels. After being told that they would last longer, they appeared to chip within a day and one of the nails came off in 3 days. When my nails were being done, the machine they used was pushed Into my skin and irritated my skin. This portrays a lack of concentration and they were really rough. I do not recommend it! Read Less

I turned up at 6 oclock 2 get refills and they said they were closed but they say they dont close till 7 i wont b going back again!!! THERE SO INCONVINENT!

A few months ago I was leaving work late and in desperate need of a manicure. Most of the salons that I usually frequented were closing soon so after doing a quick search, I discovered Elife at the Avenue was open until 8pm. They are good at taking reservations but not at keeping them. I booked a pedicure for myself and 2 friends 2 days in advance. They had a little girls birthday party going on at the same time and did not have enough staff. We were left waiting for at least 30 minutes with our feet in the water. I've been here three times. The first time they put the wrong coating on top of my nails and they smeared before I got home. Had to take it off immediately. They gave me a coupon for a free pedi. My experience was awful, I was 'conned' and bribed into spending Β£10 more for gels because apparently they would last longer when I have never had a problem with Normal nail polish but I felt pressured into having the gels.
