I first used Sun Lounge as managed to get a last minute appointment for Shellac nails when my usual salon couldn’t fit me in. The standard of the manicures is excellent and better than others I’ve had. The girls take the time and care to prepare and polish so my nails are perfect and last un chipped until my nails grow out and need redoing. There is a good atmosphere in the salon and the girls are great to chat to or equally respectful if you want some quiet time. This is the only salon I use now. Read Less

I've just used The Sun Lounge for Shellac nails and am amazed at the result. The therapist suggested a stencil pattern and it looks absolutely stunning. Really pleased with the result and a lovely way to finish the week with a visit to a salon where the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be going back. Read Less

I made my appointment on line the evening before as heading to Chelmsford in the morning. Almost instant reply and confirmation of appointment. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly team. I was in the uk on holidays from Australia and I needed to have my CND brisa gel nails refilled. I made an appointment at Sun Lounge and the service was excellent. I am a nail technician and I would highly recommend the girls at Sun Lounge . Read Less

Worst experience ever. Was booked in to have a luxury pedicure and manicure. Also booked in to have my gel polish on my toes removed. I went in and was given a girl called Amy who was training and new at the job to look after me. They didn't even bother to inform me that was the case and whether I was ok with that. She didn't have a clue what she was doing. She didn't even know how to use the nail drying machine! She took over 40mins removing my gel polish on my toes which normally takes 10mins max. She filed my nails with a blunt file. I had to request for her to clip my nails to shorten them, even then didn't do all of them. Because of time I then said I will just have a express manicure instead. She did not clean my cuticles or anything and went straight on to the polish and did a bad job of that too. I actually felt sorry for the girl because they just left her to it. No one bothered to help her or assist her seeing as she was new and clearly not very confident. In the end I didn't get my manicure done. Very poor service. Read Less

I unfortunate had a bad experience at the Sun lounge. I called up to find out about the hot stone massage, I have had a few in the past and due to feeling stressed I hoped it would help me release some tension. However when I called to ask how long the massage was for (it doesn't say in the brochure) and I was told on the phone, "it's about an hour". To me I took that at it was an hour from walking into the beauty room and then back out. I was miss informed. It was actually 40 minutes in and out. The actual treatment was not satisfying, I was not asked if the temperature or the pressure was okay. I am not that person who can speak up and ask for this. Therefore I was not happy with the service. It was also not appreciated that the fan was put on 5 minutes at the end of my treatment, it was unnecessary and cold. My therapist did not introduce herself or find out any reasons or ask if there where any areas I would like to have worked on. Read Less
