I visited this salon for a one-off nail repair on 18/04/2018 at around 6.30pm as my usual nail technician was unavailable and I had a function coming up. I was satisfied with my repair and was incredibly impressed by the technicians ability to match the colour to my other nails given that it was an entirely different brand. However, the atmosphere of the salon was all wrong; the manager was clearly in a bad mood and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable the whole time. Now this may have been due to personal circumstances; however it is entirely unprofessional to be so demonstrably negative in what should be a relaxed and positive environment; especially as a manager. I didn't feel that the salon had the truly 'luxurious' aspect that I come to expect from a beauty or nail salon, especially one that charges as much as this one. Add to this the below response from the owner to my honest review - I stand by my review firmly. While in Westbourne last week, I thought I would treat myself to having my nails done. I did not particularly want to go to one of the "Asian nail bars" and, being unfamiliar with the beauty treatment salons in the area, I decided to go with Tigerlilly, as they were one of the top results on Google and the reviews seemed very positive. Unfortunately, I was left rather underwhelmed. I went into the salon to ask whether it would be possible to get my nails done, but this seemed to unleash a level of contempt from staff which I had not anticipated. Apart from the two members of staff which were just sitting there, the salon was empty. After receiving a thorough body scan from one of them as if I had literally just spat into her UV lamp, I was informed that they "do not take walk-ins" and that I would have to book an appointment. Had the preceding 30 seconds been any different, I might have booked the appointment but, as things stood, I thought I was better off taking my custom elsewhere - which I did.
