Rough with my hands. Didn’t welcome me. Talked in a different language and ordered food while I was having my nails done! Took 2hours for a set of acrylics that should have taken 30-45minuets. Ridiculous I would not go back here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone! Read Less

Really disappointed- came out with worse nails than when i went in and had to pay for the priviledge :-( so upset have been growing my nails for months now and left with literally no length left and a horrendous shape which was not what i asked for. The shellac was put on really sloppy too and looks a mess and my nails were still all jagged when i left. I also really did not enjoy the atmosphere in there- there was no friendliness from staff and it was really unsanitary in their kitchenette where you wash your hands (like really disgusting!). not impressed and really upset they've ruined what were my natural and long nails. gutted :-( Read Less

Lovely staff. I have been going here for a quite a few yrs now. They do a great job. Always been really pleased with the end results. I've even had a pedicure.....1st time ever and it was fantastic. Love these guys x Read Less

I am very fussy with my nails and everytime I've had them done I've never gone back to the same place until I come here and now I have been having appointment every two weeks can't see my nails not being done anymore because I love them! Read Less

I have not been here and after reading people experiences the owner seems to be rude and inexperienced with dealing with complaints and deals with them in a poor manner and takes what the staff say to be 100% true I would avoid this place for your own safety. Sadly I have to give this place one star to be allowed to post this but I doubt this place even earn one star. Read Less

Hi Laura We are sorry about your experience today but it has all been Terribly misunderstood. Appointments do have priority over walk in's however if we have not finished with the previous client then they can run over. As for the language comment, Hannah asked us if it would be ok for you to pay later, but said it in our language in which we naturally replied back in the same language. It had nothing to do with rudeness or ignorance. It just an automatic reflex replying back to someone in that same language. Previously we have had a customer of 4 years coming to us then one day she decided to have the most exspensive treatment then went without paying. We need to let you know this is not the first regular client that has done this to us. This is why we kindly refused your offer of paying later. We were kind and polite to you about this and you were the same to us as you left. This is the same reason why payment is made first before your treatment to prevent any possible runners, Because it has happened too many times in the past. All other comments are not related to the issue of you paying later so it is irrelevant to comment on that. It annoyed me that I can make an appointment, and often have to wait half an hour or more because the greed of the owners dictate that 'walk ins without appointments' take precedence. They obviously can't bear to lose the money. But today, after going here for over 7 years, I had legitimately realised I had forgotten my purse and offered to drop the money off the next morning (I live a 35 minute drive away). The owners began a conversation between themselves in front of me, which started in English and then in to Thai, so I couldn't understand what was being said - how rude and ignorant is that? Then the boy, who was sat in the back cupboard munching food said 'NO'. This place also only takes cash, which is a pain when am spending £70 this month on gel nails and a pedicure - would love to know if they pay all their taxes? Pretty short sighted and arrogant lack of customer care and loyalty. I won't be returning, I'd rather spend my £700 - £800 a year somewhere else. I'm not sure why Star nails have been given any negative reviews. I have been going in there for a couple of years and find them to be polite and professional. My nails are always excellent and if I have broken one they are always happy to fix it. Good value for money and I highly recommend them. Read Less

I've been coming to star nails for a LONG time! They're lovely people, great service! For the people who come in and treat them like slaves, not on. They work very hard, take the time. Making sure you're nails looks gorgeous! Personally, I recommend this salon. I've been having my nails done since I was 15, I've been too many of salons. I've been ripped off, over charged, but this salon is fantastic. I only see one person in salon and that's Hannah. One of the best nail techs I've ever met! I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my nails done! Lush interior, friendly efficient service and my nails have always been perfect! I love having different designs and Stars unlike many other salons I tried in Bournemouth have never refused any design and if anything always made them better than I could have imagined!
