The smell of chemicals was almost unbearable. It got better when the front door was left open for a while (or I might have got use to it..) The male staff were friendlier but disinterested, the girls looked overworked and miserable. The place was very unclean: the equipment had multiple marks of previous customer use, the station/desk had stains of old spilled nail vanish, tea/coffe stains, dust from filed nails, doodles, etc. The price was satisfactory for the received treatment. The salon isn't well cleaned. The nail staff don't talk to new customers during their treatments. In addition to the untidiness, there is also no ventilation. So all of the fumes from the treatments swarm the room and make it a hard environment to not get a headache in. Read Less

Firstly I asked the women which would be better and stronger for my nails so I ended up paying extra for my nails. Just less than 24 hours I had nails falling off, I called up to explain and they asked me to come in to get repaired. I had to spend more money traveling a day after I got my nails back to get them done. I told the women I would be in at 3 and she told me to come back an hour later when I arrived. I then sat there another 30 minutes after returning an hour to hav...e one nail repaired. A few days later more nails fell off and when speaking on the phone to the women I not only got rude replies but she also hung the phone up before I had finished speaking. The women didn't listen to me and just spoke over me the whole time while I was explaining in a calm way what had happened. I am so angry as I had to spend £33 on my nails and then a further £10 on travel to the shop and back to then get spoken to very rudely. This is one store where I shall not be returning to. Cut my finger twice with the machines on two separate occasions and I was not even apologised to and was made to pay full price. My little finger after being cut very deeply still has a scar with a little loss of feeling in it (this happened in 2015!) You're rushed in and rushed out. No real customer service here. Am so happy I have found Kimberley Nails! The staff are very friendly. The shop is very clean and welcoming. Most importantly I have finally found somewhere that does good quality nails! They don't lift,they don't chip,they don't break and they stay looking fab until I go back to get my infills. I wish I could give more than five stars =) Read Less
