Terrible experience. Avoid this place while it’s still open .. it will shut by end of the year if the reviews are anything to go by. Have been having shellac for years but used this salon as my normal girl was off work for a few weeks. 4 days later and after lots of chips one hand is completely without shellac! Never seen anything like it. Rang salon, they offered to re-do. I explained I had to leave for London straight from work that day and would have to get them done in London the next day. Worst nail bar I have ever been too, I went for gel nails and the lady whom I believe is in fact the manager of the salon has given me horrendous gel nails, I got them done 3 days ago they are still sticky, the polish is not level I have lumps and bumps all over my nails, they look like a 5 year old has been let loose with old gloopy nail varnish and I am not furious to have paid for these. I am not the person to moan or even mention when i am not happy so it is very disheartening for me to have to do this! Sorry but save yourself the money and go somewhere else. Read Less

I came in very last minute on a Friday after being let down by my usual nail place and had a full set of gel nails done by Anna. She did an amazing job, made sure I was happy every step of the way and is clearly very skilled with shaping and building the nail. I previously left a slightly more generous review on the day of my appointment commenting on the time the appointment took (4 hours for two sets of acrylics and paint) and that I was cut whilst having my nails filed. I have since messaged regarding issues and was apologised to, and due to management being away standards may have slipped (not my words) Since my message, I have lots two nails (11 says since appointment, and not by doing anything other than normal) and a lot of... paint has chipped from my nails. I’m not happy with the fact I have lost nails and that the paint doesn’t last as this isn’t what I’d expect 11 days in. I think the salon looks lovely and has such potential. I highly raccomend this place. I’ve never had my nails done here but I’ve tried waxing. It's really hard to find a good beautician when you move to another country, especially one to trust to. For this reason I loved Giada, she is friendly, polite and very professional in what she does (usually I suffer a lot to do the waxing but this time I didn’t !!!). I’ll continue to go there for sure. The staff is friendly and polite and very well trained as well. I had so many times shellac manicure and pedicure and every time were not only perfect but also long lasting, because they use very good products and the nail techs are very professional. Arrived 5 minutes early for my 12 o’clock appointment - full set of acrylic nails. Was told to take a seat. Approached a couple minutes later and told my appointment had been ‘crossed out’ as it had been misread by someone as being at 11am and they therefore considered me a ‘no show’. Was told it would be 40 minutes. Since it was raining outside I said I would just wait. I was not even offered a glass of water. When I eventually sat down to have my nails done, my technician t...ells me she is ‘so hungry’ and also sends a text. Rather unprofessional. I told her I wanted round nails, but they were being filed a little too pointy and narrow, so I asked for them to be rounded off slightly. Got a response of more or less ‘this is round, I don’t know what you want’. Another lady was called over who suggested I have them taken off to begin filing again. I was a little nervous by some of the reviews on here - but as my local nail bar I took the plunge and I am so happy that I did! I didn’t realise how naff my old nails were (from a different shop) until I left with my gorgeous new ones from buff and polish! Really lovely modern salon, Anita did the most beautiful job and I am so so happy with them! Amazing colour choices + really friendly ladies, made me feel so comfortable. Will be back for sure! the worst acrylic nails, manicure and pedicure ever done.. i came to have a spa day on 24th dec, the lady double the arylic gel, so my nails looked bulky (really fake) and it was not near the end of my nails. so my nails looked like its 2 weeks old, the arylic sliding up.. worst nails ever. waste of my money. i made a complained, and they made me look stupid. didnt want to make a fuss becuase i didnt want it to ruin my birthday. overall i will not recommend this place. i have done nails many times before and i've always been pleased. It was my first time in Buff and Polish using a voucher that I got for Christmas and I can safely say I will never get my acrylics done anywhere else again. Anita who did my nails made sure I was happy with the shape and the ombré acrylic all throughout and the girls and Rachel were extremely friendly! I will 100% be coming back and will also be purchasing the Holiday Prep package in May as I have heard amazing things! Read Less

Not a great experience at all. Took my girlfriend here, really long waiting list and when we came back (on time) we were not served/seen to for another 10-15 minutes. We purchased a set of stiletto acrylic nails, it took just under 3 hours in total. Of course we understand the absence of electric files there so they had to do it manually but 3 hours is ridiculous for a basic set of nails. The technician acted rather laid back the whole time, not seeming to rush or understand the amount of time she was taking. During this 3 hours she repeatededly cussed other nail shops in the area, specifically the Asian parlours or in her words "whatever they want to be called" I thought this was an extremely petty attempt to make yourself seem good. Your work should speak for itself, you shouldn't have to put down different shops. Furthermore, as she manually shaped each nail (to more of an oval not a stiletto) she took the opportunity to sit back and try to engage conversation after every finger. Don't get me wrong me and my partner are very talkative and friendly people, especially to shop owners/workers. However after 2 hours she was still taking every opportunity to relax. The process was taking so long my girlfriend had one worker on each hand, you can definitely see the difference. Immediately after leaving we saw paint spots, scuffs and marks on the literally fresh set of nails. 3 hours and £26 later. My girlfriend has acrylic nails in a shape she didn't want, almost half way up her real nail. (They have done this so customers come back for infills sooner and they can make more money) Overall a dragging and dissatisfied feeling was lingering after the time spend there.
