The only reason I gave 1 star was so that I could write my review! We see way too many times where people make statements putting their foot in their mouth and go back and try to apologize and right their wrong. I don’t believe for one second it was disgruntled promoter and I don’t believe for one expand that the owner did not say this. All I see alllll over this page are white people, no minorities. Maybe that’s the only clientele that you have and if so then so be it. Not being welcome to an establishment however is a totally different ball game. If it wasn’t said then we need to hear from the customers that were there. If it wasn’t said then there should be a statement from the owner apologizing for one and explaining for the other! Owner made a racist comment about African Americans (also including Hispanics) and demanded for a private event to be canceled (it was supposed to be held at this location this Sunday). Reason being that the owner stated that it was a "White's only" establishment and wanted the event to be canceled because he didn't want any African Americans in his establishment. My mom, sister and I went to get gel mani’s done to celebrate me passing my nursing board and my sister being in spring break! The receptionist was awesome and super friendly! However, all three of us felt kinda rushed to pick a color, which is hard because there are like 1000 to choose from. One of the workers was kinda rude about the fact that we were looking at darker colors rather than pastels for spring. He did my sisters nails, which basically half were peeling off with...in a few days. She had to go back and get some of them redone, but still the polish wasn’t staying on super well, even though it was gel. My moms guy was amazing, so kind and friendly and took a lot of time working on making her nails perfect. My lady moved me to her station which was away from my mom and sister, and barely talked to me unless I started conversation. I also had two nails come completely off within 5 days. Long did my nails and it's was just a perfect experience overall! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly face and asked what I needed for services! I made an appointment for 2 and was seen promptly at 2. I asked for ombre nails with a coffin shape because I wanted to try this trend! I was offered a complimentary beverage and chose a mimosa! I went to get a gel manicure as a walk-in with a friend. We were taken care of right away, sat right next to each other and proceeded to have a blast! My nails have never looked better. I had an appointment for a nail appointment at 1 for a mani/pedi/wax by the time it was 3 I had only had my pedi done. I went up to the receptionist on serval occasions and told her that I had an appointment at 1 for a mani/pedi/wax and still had only had the pedi done. By this time several people had gone to get their nails done before me and She totally ignored the problem and went about what she was doing. She didn't apologize or anything. In fact, she wouldn't even make e...ye contact with me she was rustling around in her papers in the desk. I felt like I was completely ignored by her and that as a customer I did not matter. By 3:15 they finally asked if I wanted to get my manicure by this time my friend that I had rode with was finished with her mani/pedi/wax and we both had to be back home to relive our babysitters for our girls outing. I also was never offered a glass of wine or anything. They seemed to have a real lack of communication in the nail place cus the nail techs didn't even seem to know what people were even in the salon for. I visited Tipsy salon bar for the first time Saturday September 16th. I'm sad to say I was extremely disappointed with my experience! I made an appointment to have my mani/pedi/wax with Tiffany, because somebody recommended her to me. When my friend and I arrived we waited about 20 mins. Finally I got started by somebody who was not the person I requested. Tiffany wasn't even there actually and had no knowledge of my appointment with her. Terrible communication! Anyway my fri...end got started shortly after me however they separated us. Doing her pedicure while I was getting my manicure, which was upsetting because we made our plans together assuming we would be together during the whole visit. We did not get offered anything to drink, I asked and the receptionist must have forgot, because I never received my drink. After getting a pedicure my friend waited about 20-30 minutes before finally going up and reminding them that she was waiting on her manicure. About 3 or 4 guests who got there after us ended up going before her we than complained to the receptionist and she had nothing to say, no apology, and no solution. We ended up leaving and getting my friends nails done else where. I went in today for a gel manicure and absolutely loved it! The staff was so nice, especially Candice who was so lovely and always made sure I was doing good. Kim did my nails today, and they came out perfect! I appreciated that she took her time unlike many salons.
