This salon hates blacks and Hispanics! They "shush" us, ask us "who we gone fight" and make other remarks to insinuate we are some ruthless ghetto culture! Even the owner answers the phone when it's me (they have caller id), "what you wannnt!" Yet she is pleasant with everyone else. The place is fine. Small, quiet and slow while I was there. (Sunday about 1 o'clock.). Had to wait longer than I should have. Water was cold by the end of my pedicure. Wanted to try a new place and it was fine, but certainly not worth $50 + tip for a pedicure. There are better places in the neighborhood. Read Less

I use to come here for years and I stopped going to melrose due to how one day someone did my daughters nails and they did a horrible job. Despite that the person did a horrible job I still would go considering that person was new and I just wouldn't ask for her. It just wasn't the same so I stopped going. I am so overwhelmed by having to do this review! I am a client at melrose nail spa or as I and my whole family consider ourselves for a while. I come every week or every other week to get my pedicure and gel.. Today has been my worst experience ever, I called at 6:20 to make my regular appointment knowing they are busy during the week - my appointment was at 7:15-7:20 got there at 7:22 around 7:38 a guy approach to me nicely to start my pedicure and around 7:50 we were done! ...Yes! Done.. a 15 min pedicure (I was told that he was not able to rub my feet because I am pregnant and couldn't do a massage)! Wth? Seriously ? I am 40 weeks pregnant that's the reason why I go!!!! Because I want to relax and pamper myself! I approach to pay to finished this mess and This are my nails and pedicure after waiting and complaining about this situation! Manager told me to only pay $10 dollars like if money was the issue! I will always be reminded to take care of my clientele in my own business.. what a lack of service! I've been going to Johnny for my acrylic-gel nails and gel pedis for four years at Hollywood Nails. When I found out that he moved to his own salon (within walking distance of my house), I was ecstatic! I decided not to review Melrose Day Spa until I had been a few times. This is my fourth time here and it's better than I had expected! Great music (which Hollywood was lacking), very clean, nice ambience, superb customer service...and Johnny, who has always done a fantastic job with my nails. Johnny does my nails while Annie does my pedicure (her leg and foot massages are to die for). Ny does my eyebrow wax (she shapes them perfectly and even tells me where to pluck and not to pluck in between visits - depending on current trends). This place is the bomb-diggity! Read Less

My first visit today, we are new to Dallas & I'm so glad I finally found my nail salon! I'd tried several different places & always left feeling like there had to be a better place out there - and there is!! They were also super patient & friendly with my boyfriend, who finally agreed after years of me asking, to get his very first mani/pedi. He bites his nails so they didn't have much to work with but they still did an amazing job and his hands & feet look so much better already. With Johnny behind the wheel of this "refreshed" nail spa (recent new ownership), I see great things happening! Having tried countless nail places in Dallas, the land of salons and day spas; I always go back to Johnny. I admire his commitment to his customers and staff. The ease in which I book my appointments is conducive to the busy lifestyle I have. The general ingress/egress of this particular nail salon is great for someone on the go - or if you're in for a full day of pampering. I have never been to any spa or salon that is as clean as it is here at Melrose. I also have to say, any time I've had a problem with anything (very rare) - Johnny is ON IT.
